    ra just shook her head, a smile ying at her lips.


    Once at the office, ra had a meeting with people from the design department. Just as she stepped


    out of the conference room, her phone rang. It was Elio Milburn.


    “I’m sick; can youe over?”


    ra was taken aback.


    “You’re sick? What’s up? Got a cold or something?”


    “Yep, and my stomach’s acting up too.”


    ra nced at her watch and asked, “Which hospital are you at? I can head over right now.”


    “Belevolence Hospital.”


    “I should be there in about half an hour.” ra had a ton on her te, but hearing that Elio was ill, she


    couldn’t help but worry.


    After all, whenever she or her kiddo was under the weather, Elio would always rush over in a heartbeat.


    ra didn’t tell Emmett; she grabbed her car keys and hit the road.


    The traffic was smooth, and she made it in less than half an hour.


    When she saw Elio, Leah Calloway was also there.

    Frowning, ra walked over to Elio and said, “Elio, you’re a doctor; don’t you know what’s good and


    bad for your health?”

    ra was taken aback. “That’s not the same thing! You’re making no sense. Just because I’m with


    Emmett, does it mean I can’t care about anyone else?”


    “Exactly! Ever since you’ve been with him, you’ve given him all your heart! I can see it clearly!” Elio was


    so agitated that he tried to stand up from his chair.


    Leah quickly stopped him: “You’re not well; ra came to see you, and you’re being rude! You’re going


    to hurt ra’s feelings.”


    “I’m fine.” ra motioned to Leah to stop. “In the past, Elio’s kindness towards me I’ve kept it all in my


    heart! Every single time, every single act, I never forget, so when he’s sick, of course I had toe.”


    “ra, then I’ll leave you two alone; call me if you need anything!”


    Elio nodded, and ra could only say, “Alright, see youter!”


    Once Leah was gone, the room was left with only Elio and ra.


    “Elio, I’m confused; what are you trying to do?”


    She knew Elio had a unique personality, but he had never hurt her.


    “You already know!”


    “I don’t.” ra was at a loss for words. “Didn’t I make it clear to you when I was abroad? You even


    wished me well, and now you’ve changed only a few monthster? Have you changed your mind?”


    Elio didn’t beat around the bush: “Yes, I’ve changed my mind; I don’t want to let you go to Emmett!”
