    Elio sipped on his Coke as he made casual conversation.


    Leah Calloway thought for a moment, “Well! I’m thinking about going back to my country”


    Elio was taken aback, staring at her in surprise, “Going back? Why the sudden decision? I thought you


    said you had no ns to go back.”


    Leah Calloway seemed unfazed by his reaction, “I feel like there’s not much for me here anymore.


    There are a lot of job opportunities there that align with my profession. Plus, I got an offer from a


    company therest year I want to give it a shot!”


    “But Emmett’s settled down there”

    Elio lowered his gaze, sipping his Coke in silence.

    Emmett?”


    “Who said I liked ra?”


    “My eyes did!” Leah Calloway looked at him, smirking. “Us women are very wise. I can tell you like her


    by how you act around her! I don’t understand why you’d set her up with Emmett if you like her”

    “My mommy likes Mr. Milburn too!” Alex suddenly chimed in, leaving both of them speechless.


    Elio recovered and patted Alex’s head, “You’re still young kiddo. A lot of things you won’t understand


    yet! Liking someone can mean many different things. It doesn’t mean you’ll end up together.”

    Before Elio could respond, Leah Calloway beat him, “Alex, has your mom ever said she likes Emmett?”
