    When it came to the stuff from the past, Patrick couldn’t help but sigh


    I’m at my wits end about this whole thing! You’ve seen the state our son’s in right now, he’s finally


    agreed to marry his secretary! But who knows if they’re actually serious or just pulling our leg”


    “What if what if I go and have a chat with the secretary tomorrow?”


    “No need” Patrick said, “if he’s really trying to pull a fast one on us with a sham marriage, he’s just


    trying to pull the wool over our eyes! Even if we find out, what will we do about it?”


    “At least we can save our son from forcing himself to do this!”


    “And then what? He still won’t get married, won’t find a woman! At least there won’t be any rumors

    couldn’t ept a divorce! It’s not that I’m prejudiced, it’s just people will talk! Patrick said, “We’re


    getting on in years! We should let the younger generation handle their affairs! As long as we see Aiden


    grow up safe and sound, and our son’s career goes smoothly, we don’t need to make trouble for


    ourselves”


    Sophia nodded, lying next to her husband, “I feel the same”


    But after she turned off the light, she couldn’t help but keep thinking about it!

    The next morning, ra woke up early.

    “Where did you go?”


    “To get you breakfast!” ra held up her bag. I didn’t know what you like, so I just grabbed something”

    All ra could do was smile and put the breakfast in the kitchen, “Well, then you can wait for Ricardo’s


    delivery!”


    She looked at Emmett, standing there in the living room, and he seemed to have a sort of master–of–


    the–house vibe.


    ra quickly shook her head, trying to dispel these strange thoughts from her mind.


    Emmett could never be the master of this house!


    “In the future, you don’t need to go out and buy breakfast, I’ll have Ricardo do it.”


    ra nodded, then suddenly realized something was off and looked at Emmett in surprise, “Future?”


    “To not arouse my parents‘ suspicion, I may need to stay here until you move to my ce. If you’re not


    comfortable, then move to my ce sooner.”


    He wasn’t keen on staying in such a small house either.


    “Wasn’t Emmett just forcing her into this!?


    “Is there a problem?”
