    “Be quick about it I’m gonna get in touch with that agent we had before Patrick pulled out his phone


    and walked out to the balcony to make a call.

    When they got home, ra bought Alex’s favorite pizza to cheer him up


    Watching Alex happily chowing down on his pizza, ra couldn’t help but crack a smile.


    It’s so easy to make a kid happy! If only Alex could always stay this simple and easy to please.


    After Alex finished eating, he washed his hands and announced he had to go study


    ra nodded and patted his head, “Good boy! That’s my son‘”


    Alex dashed back to his room


    Just as ra was about to start working on herputer, her phone rang!


    For some reason, her heart started racing!


    She got up to answer it and it was Emmett


    Why was he calling her thiste?


    “What can I do for you, Mr. Melendez?”


    “There was a little boy at thepany today, I want to know who he is.”


    Ive sent you his picture, go dig up some info for me”


    ra quickly nced at herputer screen.


    It was a picture of Alex!


    Crap! Alex had caught someone’s attention!


    “Mr Melendez why do you suddenly want to investigate a little boy?” ra asked nervously. She knew


    she shouldn’t be asking this, it would only arouse Emmett’s suspicion, but she had to know his


    intentions.


    “That’s none of your business, just find out for me.”


    “Mr. Melendez, is there any other information about this little boy? Just a picture?”


    “His parents work at Melendez’spany”


    Great, Alex had gotten himself into trouble!


    Emmett frowned, “You’re asking a lot of questions, do you know this boy?”


    “No, I don’t! How could I possibly know him!”


    “Good You better not.”


    Emmett hung up


    But ra was far from relieved. She paced around her room.


    Suddenly, as if making up her mind, ra picked up her phone and dialed a number-


    “Hello I’m sorry, could you do me a favor?”


    “Do you have any idea what time it is here?” a groggy male voice came from the other end, “It’s 4


    a.m.!”


    “I’m sorry, I’m really in trouble! I need your help!”


    The man sighed, “What happened now?”


    “Could I send Alex to stay with you for a while? Alex’s identity has been exposed here in the country.


    I’m afraid people will find him!” ra nervously bit her lower lip. “I know this is a lot to ask. But I really


    don’t have other options! You’re the only one who can fully protect Alex now!”


    “So now you remember me? When I proposed to you, why were you so quick to reject me!”


    “Alright, I’ll send someone to pick up Alex. Be ready!”


    Hearing his agreement, ra breathed a sigh of relief, “Thank you, thank you so much!”
