The following day.


    Laura woke up to a rainy day. She can see and hear the rain falling outside the window that she had forgotten to closest night.

    What a gloomy day to begin with, and it matches the anguish she felt inside.


    Then her eyesnded on the dresser table with a mirror in the corner, she caught sight of a single stem rose! Her brows furrowed. She can''t remember picking up a rose in her mother''s garden and bringing it to her room.


    She got up from the bed, went to the table and picked up the rose, she examined it for a few minutes. The rose wasn''t in the dresserst night before she went to sleep, she was sure of that.


    Where did ite from? And who brought the rose to her room? She went to the door and inspected it, it''s still locked, which means no one has entered her room sincest night.


    She went back to the dresser and stared at the rose for a few minutes. No matter how hard she wracked her brain...she can''t find an answer to her questions.


    Laura sighed and walked away from the dresser table going to the bathroom.


    A few minutester, she exited the toilet and lowered herself on the bed. Despite her misery, she was able to sleep early that night.


    Her eyes wandered back to the single stem of rose, how did ite to her room? It became a big mystery to her. But she can''t spend her whole day thinking about the rose that magically appeared in her bedroom. She had a bigger problem to face tonight when the vampires will finally show up in her house. She will make sure they will release Sofia first before she goes with them.


    She picked up theb and beganbing her hair, then styled it in a ponytail...done...she exited her room going to the dining hall.


    She met her mother and father in the hallway, they went downstairs and proceed to the dining room to eat breakfast together.


    They finished eating breakfast infortable silence.


    Surprisingly, no one talks about the pressing matters they are facing right now. Laura was feeling d that her parents finally warmed up to her decision that honoring the deal with vampires is the best way to solve their problems.


    Laura apanied her mother into the garden to spend some quality time with her. Today might be thest time they will see each other for a long time.


    They reached the garden and Laura sat on the chair. While her mother began tending to her flowers, cutting, trimming, and watering the flowers and ornamental nts that were arranged beautifully in the shade.


    "Mother, do you want my help?" Laura offered.


    Rosa shook her head. "No need..." she replied. Then she noticed that something is wrong with one of the roses, one of the stems was already lying in the ground and the other one was missing. She tends to her flowers every day therefore she knows what''s going on inside her flower garden. Someone must have cut the roses in a hurry. Her brows furrowed...who among the servants will dare to do such a thing? They knew that her garden was off-limits to the servants.


    "Mother, what''s wrong?" Laura noticed her mother''s face turned sullen.


    "I dunno but something happened here... someone took one stem of my roses and leave the other one lying on the ground..." Rosa said.


    Laura went to her mother''s side, her eyes widened, she saw the single stem of rose fallen in the ground. And one of the stems was missing...then she remembered the stem rose in her bedroom. The missing flower must be the one thatnded on her dresser table upstairs in her bedroom! How on earth did itnd there?


    Rosa picked up the broom and dustpan and began sweeping the fallen rose and the leaves in the ground and dumped them in the trash can.


    Laura''s brows knitted together. "Mother, I''ll go back to my room..." she said.


    "Okay," Rosa responded and resumed tending to her flowers and ornamental nts.


    Laura entered the house and climbs the stairs in deep thoughts, trying to understand how the red rosended inside her bedroom and who brought it there? Why she can''t remember anything? And she didn''t see anyone entering her room either.


    She scratches her head in confusion.


    When she reached her room, she went to the dresser and picked up the red rose. "Who brought this here?" she asked no one in particr.


    After staring at the rose for a few minutes, she put it back on the table and went to the window. The rain has finally stopped falling. The sun was beginning to appear behind the clouds.


    There nothing in there behind their house but towering trees and all kinds of nts. She looked down below... a long stair is needed before anyone can reach her room from the ground.


    Her confusion deepens...unless the one who brought the rose inside the room is a creature with wings and it flies passing through the window andnded in her room and left the rose in the dresser! What about vampires? They can hover in the air as well. C-could it be that a vampire entered her roomst night through the window?


    If it''s a vampire and part of the couple''s vampire entourage then he or she should have announced their presence to her, it''s not making sense to her at all if they are just trying to scare her. If it''s another creature then who could it be? What exactly happenedst night while she was sleeping soundly in her bed? Did that intruder stay longer inside the bedroom and watched her sleeping or it left right away after delivering the rose?


    Dang! She was being careless! She shouldn''t forget to close the windowst night. It''s scary to think that her bedroom was essible by anyone so easily. A chill ran on her spine. If that intruder was nning something bad on her, she might already be dead or horribly vited by now.


    Laura released a deep sigh.


    She willed herself back to her present problem, which is the return of the vampires tonight!


    She was expecting that they wille during the night, she should be preparing herself now and not waste her time trying to guess the identity of the one who brought the rose to her room.


    She already prepared the dress she''s going to wearter when meeting the vampires. She will wear the ck dress...which signifies the death of her heart.


    She walked towards the dresser to throw the rose in the trash can.


    "How are you Laura?" a deep male voice appeared out of nowhere.


    Laura froze in her tracks...her eyes widened in fear...she felt a chill on her spine... she spun around looking everywhere around her room to locate the source of the voice. B-but she can''t find anyone!


    What the hell!? She was the only one inside her room!


    W-where does the voice came from?


    "Who are you!? Where are you?" she asked loudly.


    "I''m inside your room sincest night," the male voice said.


    Laura''s face turned paperwhite. What the hell is going on?


    "Are you the one w-who brought the rose?" she asked, still trying to locate the origin of the voice.
