In the year x something unexpected happened to humanity . All of them got transported to another world , a world full of magic , swords as well as the power named system .
At first chaos happened since monster attacked the humans , however the chaos created heroes . Heroes with unbelieveable power , capable of healing thousands of humans with the wave of an arm as well as killing thousands of humans with the wave of an arm , rose up with glamour and represented humanity .
That was the start of a new era , the era called X .
Countless years passed after the incident of X , humanity explored the the new world . But the new world seemed unlimited . No matter how strong the heroes became , they never would deem themself as strong . After all there are countless monsters who could kill them without even batting with an eye .
Although humanity seemed to be in a hopeless situation , they met many allies . Races which seemed to come from fairy tails : dwarfs , elfs , elves , giants , demi-human , stone golems , dark elves , dragons , devils , demons and many more .
However in each society there exists bad and good people , thus each region created their own view on each race . Causing war and havoc rampagin through the land .
Sovereigns rised , mostly the old heroes .
For a time the wind of peace drifted through the lands . However does that mean that no one was able to threaten the races ?
Wrong ! Monsters from the old legends came back : Hydras , Cerberus , Cruel Dragons , Hell Beasts , Zombies , Parasites and many more .
Now , finally the races unites against the common enemys . A bloody war started which lasted for countless eons .
In the end they won , does that mean that peace is coming to the people ?
WRONG ! Soon the alliance found a portal at which the monsters seem to rise from . They gained knowdledge , but for what price ?
The portal , other known as the gate lead to infinite worlds . Worlds in which humanity turned to cruel zombies , worlds in which elves planted the world tree yggdrasil , worlds in which peace lasted for countless years , worlds in which a tyrann rules .
So what followed ? One side wants to live in peace , another one wants to snatch as much as they could .
Naturally , what followed was that this world joined the part of the everlasting war of the worlds .
"And today our battle field is the 4th world . Also known as Juliette ." explained an old man with white hairs and a white beard in front of a crowd of exciting looking students .
All of them looked excited , who wouldn''t ? After all today all them will awaken within the system .
"Hey , do you think im gonna become a mage ?" talked a young student with a smile on his face .
"Nah , if you become a mage , then im gonna rise up to the level of a protector ." replied an asian youth with a joking tone .
"Who knows ? Maybe we will win the lottery and sponsor raids ?" laughed the young man .
Patting the asian youth on the shoulder he said : "Don''t be so negative Mike , i know this day is gonna decide your future but you have to smile ."
"Yeah , i have to be calm because this day is deciding my entire future ." answered Mike with a sarcastic tone .
"Since the chance of being an melee or range fighter is about 50/50 , one of us two certainly will be rise up . Besides there are dungeons for melee fighters and they are way stronger in one on one combat ." explained the youth , however it seemed more like he was trying to calm himself down .
"I know calvin , however we have to face reality . If one of us is melee and the other one is range , i don''t believe we will be able to hold our friendship ." said Mike with a sad voice .
"Naturally both of us will be range fighters , after all it will be .... " Calvin stopped with voice .
Nudging Mike Calvin looked how the principle walked around and patted each student on their shoulder .
Some students cried in disbelief , some other students laughed in joy .
While this happened a heavy silence waved through the hall . Every students looked how the principle walked around and waited till it was their turn .
Soon the principle neared Calvin and patted his shoulder , and Mike who sat next him was the next one .
After the pat of the principle , both Calvin and Mike , joined the system .

With disbelief Mike looked at his character panel . Sadness could be seen on his face .
Looking at the sad face of his friend Calvin wanted to say something encouraging , but he didn''t dared to say it .
Turning to the slight happy face of Calvin , Mike only said one word : "Congratulation !"
Standing up Mike didn''t looked back , he walked towards the section where the melee fighters grouped .
He knew that after this awakening he couldn''t stay friends with Calvin . It may be seem as being a bad friend , however from countless experiences he knew that soon they would be in different groups . While Calvin would stand on the front shooting his projectiles , naturally save and comfortable , he as a melee fighter would be forced to fight in dungeons against monsters .
Both of them would be grinding experience , but Mike would never be able to rise as fast as Calvin . After all the "front" existed .Stolen content alert: this content belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences.
The front is an advancing wall , a giant wall on which range fighters stood to fight against the monsters of the different worlds .
"Are you melee ?" asked a bulky man in his 40s .
"Yes , my first skill is increasing my health ." replied Mike .
A big smile formed on the mans face while slapping Mike on the shoulders he laughed : "Bwuhahahah , finally another warrior and not one of those speedys ."
It was quite frightening for Mike , even with his 1,8m he looked tiny compared to the 2,5m man .
Waiting for the others to finish their awakening Mike looked at Calvin .
Seeing how he flirted with a female student who seemed to be a ranged fighter he sighed . Everything depended on melee or range .
"Mhm .... you envious ?" without noticing it the bulky man sneaked behind Mike and asked him .
"Yeah , i am . After all he is ranged , while i am melee ." replied Mike .
"Why do you envy the range fighters ? I mean they are only standing on the high walls while shooting their projectiles . We get to fight against the enemy , smell the blood of the enemy and kill them with out weapons ." replied the bulky man with a proud tone .
Looking at this idiot Mike couldn''t help but smile , what advantages do these things have ? Nothing thinkable , they are life threatening , tiring and smelly .
Wouldn''t it be better to stand on the wall while shooting those "boring" projectiles ? It would way safer and the experience to advance to the next level is gathered way quicker .
Soon the crowd of students divided in two groups , the melee and the ranged . From now on , they won''t longer be a student . From now on , they will be fighters fighting against monsters .
After seperating the melee fighters again , two groups resulted . The Speedys and the strongys , that''s the naming by bulky guy .
Distributing basic weapons to the melee fighter resulted in a shouting of wish-weapons . Some wanted two hand swords and a plate armor , others wanted to have two daggers and a set of light weight armor .
But the bulky man just gave everyone a basic sword and said : "Good newbies ."
Then he walked out of the hall .
Every single one looked at the bulky man in disbelief .
What is this sh*t ? You give us one basic sword and expect us to be satisfied ? Look at the range fighters , all of them get a whole set of their equipment with a basic armor ! One bow and two quiver full of arrows as well as a basic leather armor for example for a guy who got the the active skill focussed shot .
Heck he even got a free lessons on how to use his bow !
But this is reality . The ranged fighters looked at the melee fighters with pity .
Although they got bad equipment all the melee fighters didn''t went home . All of them tried to find a group for dungeons .
Except one , and that was Mike . He stepped out of the hall and walked to the next Train station .
Taking out his phone he downloaded the portal for all fighters , Gaia .
A kid who looked how Mike opened Gaia said excitingly : "Mom , this guy have Gaia on his phone , is he a fighter ?"
Smiling a women in her 30s answered : "Yeah he is , probably a new one , do you want to ask him ?"
Running towards Mike the kid asked : "Big brother , do you fight monsters ? You even have a sword ! That is SOOOOOOO amazing !"
Smiling Mike answered : "I only became a fighter today , however i will use this sword to kill monsters ."
With a stunned face the kid looked at Mike . Soon the mother arrived and looked at Mike , seeing his basic sword Kevin could see how a wrinkle appeard on the mothers head for a short moment .
Taking the kid away she said : "Sorry for disturbing you ."
"Big Brother fighter , if i am grown up i want to be like you and kill monsters ! Bye bye !" waved the kid while his mother dragged him away .
Sighing Mike looked how gaia opened and a system panel appeared .

Agreeing he could see how a profile appeared . Changing his forum name to something untrackable he logged in .
The app on his handy disappeared . After all it was only a signal to the system panel .
Reading the pages on the forum Mike frowned , there was too much unnecessary information .

Stop spamming unnecessary things , this should be a guide to all newbies . Since it seems like nobody will ever write anything great i will start it : The basic sword you get is better than a kitchen knife , but worse than an axe used to split wood .

Don''t care about inventory space as a melee , we often have 10x or even 100x bigger inventory space than ranged fighter . So we have a mobile warehouse . Besides don''t worry about food spoiling in it . I think it is something like a preservation space .

Thanks , one day after awakening i got my inventory . It is really bigger than ranged fighters . I could even fit an entire table inside while my friend only could take about 5 books .

To describe the way of melee in a short sentence is it to get money and buy equipment , go into dungeons to fight and loot the loot . My own advice is it to gather the set of one of the beginner dungeons and farm there for a while to get money . Build your reputition and join a raid . It may be better for windy plain , but who would go into windy plain to get loot ? The set for melee is pretty much shit , the 10x life may look good , but compared to the other sets it is pretty much sh*t . Besides if there are too many ranged champions the melee ones won''t get any experience .

I am already an awakened for 2 months , i joined abbout 9 dungeon groups and got 0 set items . How slow will it take for me to get a beginner set ? And how do i get a group ? My friend already went to the front and is 2 levels above me !

The following post were all post with content of thanking . Just as Mike wanted to click on the page the train arrived .
Boarding the train and sitting on the next best seat he looked at the forum again . Going on the site suggested by Whitknigt he landed on the site : Dungeon info and group search .
Searching through all the dungeons Mike eliminated all non-beginner types . After all there were more than 1000 different beginner gradings , so how would he be able to go to a higher dungeon and survive ?
In the end he eliminated all dungeons except the 1-1 dungeons . (1 for the dungeon level and 1 for dungeon difficulty )
Comparing the dungeons for loot , monsters etc. he choosed one of the simplest dungeon of all time . An arena pit with a single goblin in it . Though there was no reward Mike chose the dungeon because of warming him up . Or better to say it was to train him .
After all people die if they die in the dungeon .
Thus he decided to fight one vs one .
Setting his goal for the next day Mike browsed through the seemingly endless forum pages of gaia .
He found theorys on how the system works , how to build the perfect melee/ranged fighter , how to get new skills , how to buy a house as well as how to don''t die in a dungeon .
Arriving at the last train station Mike stood up and walked out . The dorm in which he lived was in a remote place . Mike liked to describe the dorm as peaceful .
Standing in front of the dorm Mike opened the door and walked in his room . Brushing his teeth and washing his face he went to bed early .
