    “Sir, the field is scattering. Core implosion is imminent.” A smooth, feminine voice speaks in the man’s mind.


    “What!?? It cannot be! All the calculations were triply checked and cross checked! Emi, stabilize the field! Immediately!” the old man roars.


    “I cannot stabilize the field. You must eva—“ Emi was saying as suddenly, the core imploded, taking with it the whole lab and then exploding and destroying the mountain it was on.
