Chapter 1840
It was the weekend. Tina and Wilson nned to stay at home and deal with some work that they
had left behind.
Hearing that the doorbell was ringing, Tina couldn''t helpughing.
She thought that it must be I who had forgotten something and turned back to fetch it.
Tina made a gesture to Wilson, who was making a phone call nearby, and walked to the hallway.
When the door was opened, she was stunned by the two visitors.
Standing outside of the door was not I, but Old Master Amery, who had grown a few strands of
white beard on his chin, as well as his daughter-inw, Lin.
Tina looked surprised. "Master Amery, Lin, nice to meet you!"
She was especially surprised by Old Master Amery''s visit.
Lin had visited Tina once because she wanted to talk to Tina about her identity. Yet Old Master
Amery''s visit was still a rare instance. Tina immediately felt that there might be something important
behind their visit.
Wilson''s deep voice sounded behind Tina. "Master
Amery, Mrs. Amery, pleasee in!"
Hearing this, Tina also quickly turned aside and invited the two of them to the living room.
Lin and Old Master Amery both sat down on the sofa, while Wilson poured two cups of warm water
for them.
But the two of them did not have any intention of drinking the water. They looked depressed.
Old Master Amery put the ss cup on the table and sighed slightly. After thinking for a while, he
said slowly, "Tina, Wilson, we are here today because we have something to ask of you!"
Tina nodded. "Tell me..."
Old Master Amery frowned. "Your father is sick. You''re the only person who can save him now!"
Tina was stunned.
Her gaze swept across the faces of Old Master Amery and Lin, while her heart tightened.
Old Master Amery''s expression was serious, and there was anxiety deep in his eyes. Lin looked
very haggard, and she had obvious dark circles around her eyes, as if she had not slept well for
many days. By intuition, Tina realized that it must be some serious disease.
Tina asked hesitantly, "What''s... wrong with him?"
Old Master Amery sighed again. "It''s leukemia!"
"Leukemia?" Tina was dumbfounded, and her chest seemed to be stuck with anxiety.
Lin sobbed and said in a hoarse voice, "Yes, it''s leukemia! Since he was hospitalized because of
concussionst time, his mental state hadn''t been good. Not long ago, he suddenly suffered from a
low fever, whichsted for a long time. At first, we thought it was just ordinary flu. Later, he felt pain
in his breastbone. I insisted on apanying him to the hospital. Then, he was diagnosed with
leukemia...
"The doctor said that the only treatment method which could save him now is bone marrow
transnt, but we couldn''t find any suitable match in the blood bank. Now, we can only seek help
from you..."
Although the marriage between Lin and Bill did not start with love, they had always respected each
other, and had a very harmonious rtionship after the marriage.
Lin''s heart ached severely because of her husband''s sudden illness.
The two of them had gone through their lives for so many years, and they treated each other as the
important ones in each other''s lives.
Like any ordinary wife, Lin was very afraid of losing her husband.
Old Master Amery looked at Tina with imploring eyes. Although his emotions were restrained, yet he
could not hide his expectations. "Tina, the Amery family had not known about your existence and
identity over the years, and therefore we owe you a lot. But no matter what, Bill is your father. Can
you save his life? He really needs you now. The sess rate of parent- child bone marrow
transnt is very high. You are our only hope!"
Tina''s eyshes drooped.
She nced at her side. Wilson was there. He did not say anything, but just held her hand.
Tina reflect upon it for a while and nodded. "I''m willing to help you!"
Lin was extremely excited. "Really? You agreed with it?"
Old Master Amery also had a surprised expression on his face. It seemed that he had not expected
Tina to agree with it so readily.
After Tina''s identity was revealed some time ago, Old Madam Amery''s attitude was not enthusiastic
at all. When it came to recognizing Tina as a member of the Amery Family, as Bill was her biological
father, the olddy often gave negativements. For instance, she often indirectly suggested in a
strange tone that the Amery family did not want to acknowledge a bastard like Tina. However, but
she was cold and indifferent. However, Old Master Amery''s attitude waspletely different from
his wife.
He only felt that the Amery family needed to give Tina a period of time for adaptation to her new
identity. As a result, the matter of epting Tina as a new member of the Amery family was
temporarily put aside.
Unexpectedly, Bill Amery, the Old Master''s son, and Tina''s biological father, was suddenly
diagnosed with leukemia, and his health conditions had been poor since then. For this reason, Old
Master Amery decided to personally ask Tina for help.
One of the most unbearable things in the world was that the white- haired man (father) saw the
ck-haired man (son)''s death.
Beforeing over here, Old Master Amery was worried that Tina might not be willing to help him,
yet he decided to try reasonably to ask for some help. For the sake of his son''s life, the Old Master
was determined to plead to Tina, or even beg her for mercy.
Tina nodded again. "It''s okay!"
She did not hesitate at all.
I also had been diagnosed with leukemia. Tina understood the feeling of facing leukemia.
She could understand the feelings of the patient''s family members. Her original intention of the
donation was not for the rtionship between a father and a daughter. Even if it was a stranger who
asked her for help today, she would still try to save him/her.
After Tina made up her mind, she stood up and said, "Wait a minute. I''ll change my clothes, and
then go to the hospital with you!"
Things had gone on smoothly.
Lin and the Old Master Amery felt more rxed now, and their eyes were filled with happiness.
Half an hourter, the two cars left the No.1 Luxurious Residence together.
Wilson personally drove his car to give Tina a ride, while Old Master Amery and Lin were in another
car.
The cars drove into the hospital in turn.
After the Mercedes-Benz stopped, Wilson and Tina both unfastened their seatbelts.
When Tina got off of the car, Wilson''s big hand had already reached over and held up her hand
tightly. "Tina, I''ll stay with you!"

His palm was thick, warm, and it gave Tina a strong sense of security.
Tina smiled at him.
A simple sentence like "I''ll stay with you" was enough to disy their love.
The two of them walked into the hospital building together with Old Master Amery and Lin.
Bill Amery was hospitalized in the high-ss ward of the Hematology Department, which was
located in the innermost part of the corridor. It would take some time for the four of them to cover
the distance on foot after leaving the elevator.
When they were about to reach the ward, Lin stepped forward and gently held Tina''s arm. "Tina,
thank you very much! You''re going to save Bill''s life!"
Lin knew that her husband had already recognized Tina as his daughter, and therefore she naturally
followed her husband''s footsteps. It helped to strengthen their emotional ties with Tina.
Lin was indeed very grateful for Tina''s willingness to help them.
Bill Amery was the only son of the Old Master and the Old Madam, and he represented the Amery
family''s future. If he died of leukemia, the Old Master and the Old Madam would lose their son,
while Lin would also lose her husband.
Lin med herself a lot.
She felt that as Bill''s wife, she did not take good care of her husband. When Bill was not feeling
well, she did not pay enough attention to it. Now, facing such a serious disease, members of the
Amery family all felt very helpless.
Old Master Amery and Old Madam Amery also thought about donating the bone marrow for the
treatment of their son. However, they were too old, and their physical strength had been dwindling.
As for Lin and Bill themselves, they had no children of their own, and therefore all their hopes were
on Tina.
Tina shook her head.
Then, something popped up in her mind, and then she asked after hesitating for a moment, "Mrs.
Amery, when did you find out about Chairman Amery''s illness?"
Lin thought for a moment and replied, "About 20 days ago..."
Tina didn''t say anything else.
She suddenly realized why Abby had acted strangely when Desmond inadvertently asked her about
Bill. She recalled that Mrs. Barron''s activity was held about 20 days ago, it was roughly the time
when Bill was diagnosed with leukemia.
There was mockery in Tina''s eyes when she thought of Abby.
