    Chapter 1657

Why Does It Look Like Wilson''s Mercedes-Benz?

Lilith was perhaps the one who had the second most drastic reaction to the news that Selene''s

engagement with Dn would be cancelled.

She hadn''t expected that an ident like this would happen when the grand engagement ceremony

had already been held. Everybody just needed to wait for a year or so, and then the wedding

ceremony for Selene and Dn''s marriage could be held. From the viewpoint of Selene and Lilith,

What''s sure to be gained was lost.

This was a serious setback for Lilith.

She firmly disagreed her son''s decision.

Yet Dn threatened his mother directly that he might tell Aspry, his father, all the truth.

Aspry actually didn''t know the truth of the ident that happened five years ago. He only thought

that the two children were too young and immature to be able to handle things properly. Tina might

have been tempted by some of her bad friends and be pregnant, which resulted in her

separation from Dn. In consideration of this, Aspry felt regretful and disappointed that he hadn''t

educated Tina properly in family education.

Aspry in fact didn''t know what his wife had done to Tina.

If he knew it, Lilith would no longer be able to wear the mask of a virtuous wife and loving mother in

    the Koo family.

It was for this reason that Lilith finally submit to Dn''s decision.

The engagement between the two families was sessfully canceled.

In the past five years, although Dn had achieved great aplishments in his music career, he

had in fact been living under the shadow of separating from Tina. After he recovered from the car

ident, he actually felt that every day was meaningless for him.

Whether it was finding a girlfriend or engaging with somebody, he acted as if he was just an

    outsider.

But now, he had finally learned about why Tina decided to break up with him five years ago.

He felt sad and excited about this discovery.

It was as if he was lost in a deste desert, and afterwards had gone through a lot of difficulties and

trials. Finally, an oasis gradually appeared in his view, giving him the courage to move on.

For Dn, the reunition with Tina was almost like rebirth.

Tina couldn''t help but frown when she saw the flickering light in Dn''s eyes.

I ran up to her mother.

She held her mother''s hand up and turned around to look out of the ward curiously.

    Dn stepped into the ward.

He put the fruit basket down onto the table and greeted them. "Tina, Malee... Nice to meet you. I

came here to see I. I didn''t bring her some gifts because I was in a hurryst time!"

Dn had very handsome facial features. Because of his nonchnt temperance, he usually gave

others the impression of being cool. When he was ying the piano, there would be a mncholy

aura around him. For this reason, he rarely smiled in his daily life.

Today, however, there was always a faint smile on his face, which was as tender as the spring

    breeze.

Dn lowered his eyes slightly. "I, do you still remember me? You knew I''m a pianist."

    I nodded.

Malee felt that this was a little bit strange. She stepped forward. "I, this is Dn Koo. You can call

    him Uncle Koo!"

I greeted him obediently, "Hello, Uncle

    Koo!"

Dn replied her with a smile.

Although he was annoyed when he first learned that Tina had a four-year-old daughter. But now,

after meeting the clever and outgoing little girl a few times, he had unconsciously developed an

affinity for her. What''s more, I was the daughter of Tina, his beloved ex-fiancee.

Children often looked innocent and pure. Moreover, it was Tina who gave birth to I. In this regard,

I was the continuation of Tina''s life.

What Dn said to Tina that day was true.

For the rest of his life, Dn really wanted to take care of I, and treated her as his own.

Dn half-squatted down and patiently talked to I.

I was a child who was actually not afraid of meeting strangers, and she was also very outgoing.

She responded to Dn''s questions politely.

Tina could notice that Dn was trying to please I.

He seemed to be trying to improve the strange rtionship between I and him.

I didn''t feel the undercurrent in the expressions of the adults. She ate a lot of pitayas. The dark-

purple fruit juice had stained her face, making her look like a tabby cat. Malee then took I to the

    bathroom to clean up.

Only Tina and Dn remained in the room.

Dn looked at her and said, "Tina, has your rtionship with Wilson Chine to an end?"

There was uncontroble excitement in his voice.

    Tina''s lips pursed.

As expected, Dn had overheard the conversation between Malee and her.

Tina''s expression became indifferent. She said, "Dn, I hope you won''t misunderstand me! I

ended my rtionship with Wilson not because of you. I have made everything quite clear to you

    that day..."

    Dn felt slightly disappointed.

On that day, he begged her with sobbing voices, and she was also crying, yet in the end, she

    refused him.

Dn''s eyes suddenly dimmed a little, but very soon he cheered up again.

"I know." He nodded. "Tina, I don''t want to cause any pressure to you! I know that after such a long

time, both of use have changed a lot, but I hope you won''t cruelly draw a clear dividing line between

you and me, or I will really go crazy!"

Tina said seriously, "Dn, it''s your mother who did the wrong thing, not you. You don''t have to bear

it in mind all the time!"

She was the victim, and so was Dn.

The culprit was Lilith. Tina thought that Dn needn''t shoulder the responsibility for the misdeeds of

    his mother.

Dn understood the implication in her words: Tina had refused him euphemistically again.

He had no choice but to say, "Tina, even if you can''t promise me now to be my girlfriend again,

we can still be friends, right? We used to grow up together!"

Dn wanted to find back everything they had lost in the past five years.

    He mustn''t be too anxious.

As long as he could start with her again as an ordinary friend, namely, to return to the beginning

point, he would have more chances to be her lover again. In fact, he had the patience of a

    lifetime to wait for her.

Tina was out of choice. "Okay!"

Dn stayed in the hospital veryte.

Malee left the ward after dinner, and Dn stayed there until I fell asleep.

Tina and Dn walked out of the hospital building together.

Dn said, "Tina, I''ll give you a ride!"

Tina shook her head. "There''s no need. My house is nearby. It''ll be fine if I walk back!"

"Then I''ll walk with you!" Dn put the key into the pocket.

    Tina felt helpless once more.

Seeing that it would not work to use excuses, she could only follow him into his car.

The hospital was very close to Tina''s house, only three streets away. Dn deliberately slowed

down the car speed, not wanting to miss any chance to be alone with Tina.

Dn asked, "Tina, is I very ill?"

    Tina nodded sadly. "Hum..."

Seeing the gloominess on Tina''s delicate face, Dn felt a surge of pain in his heart. "There are

many examples of perfect recovery from Leukemia. Although I''s illness is still serious, I believe

that God will bless her. She will get better day by day and grow up happily like an ordinary child!"

    "Thank you!" Tina said.

She liked to hear good wishes like this, and was very grateful for that.

Dn continued, "Tina, I''ve inquired the attending doctor. I''s medical expenses are very high. I''m

willing to pay them if it''s possible!"

"No!" Tina shook her head, making it very clear. "Dn, I don''t need your help!"

She was very persistent upon this point.

In addition to her self-esteem, she was more afraid that the rtionship between them would

    be moreplicated and ambiguous.

Dn could now see themplight from the houses in the residential building ahead.

    He was a little disappointed.

No matter how slow the car speed was, now they had arrived at the destination.

When the car was about to stop, Tina unfastened her seat belt. As soon as she looked up, she

suddenly saw ring whitemplight from a car shooting at her.

She and Dn raised their hands up subconsciously to block themplight.

A ck Mercedes-Benz suddenly passed over their car at a fantastic speed, leaving a harsh sound

of tires rubbing against the ground.

That car''s speed was so fast, that in the blink of an eye, it vanished into the darkness.

    Tina was taken aback.

Why does it look like Wilson''s Mercedes-Benz?

    "How is that possible?"

Tina shook her head. It must be a hallucination, she thought.
