    Chapter 1169

Anthea sat by the bed, drying her hair.

She had just taken a shower and changed into her pajamas. The pajamas were made of silk, which

was soft and smooth. When she raised her hand, the wide sleeves slipped down and revealed her

    fair and smooth arm.

Anthea put a hair dryer beside her and started wiping her wet hair with a towel.

When she heard the door closed, she raised her head and saw Adaming back with a bowl of

    soup in his hand.

Anthea looked behind him and asked, "Was it your mom?"

    "Yeah," Adam nodded.

Adam put the soup on the low cab by the window, turned around, and strode towards Anthea,

"Let me dry your hair for you."

Adam picked up the hairdryer and let Anthea sit in his arms, holding her like a child. He hugged her

from behind, bed her hair with his fingers, and turned on the hairdryer.

With rough calluses on his fingertips, Adam gently rubbed Anthea''s scalp, making Anthea feel

    rxed.

As the hairdryer''s temperature was mild, Anthea enjoyed it with her eyes squinted.

After Adam dried Anthea''s hair, he touched it fondly, thinking of how Meadow acimed Anthea''s

hair the first time she met her. Anthea''s hair was as smooth as silk. And her skin was fair and

    smooth like a baby''s.

Stroking Anthea''s hair and feeling her face, Adam was fascinated. At that moment, Anthea asked,

"What''s that? Did your mom just bring it to you? "

Anthea pointed in the direction of the low cab.

Adam''s hand paused, and his mouth twitched.

"Tonic soup," Adam said with a dark face.

When Meadow brought it to Adam, she deliberately lowered her voice and emphasized that she had

spent the whole afternoon cooking it. And there was a soft-shelled turtle as a special recipe. She

kept telling Adam to drink up all of it for the best efficacy!

Anthea was confused, "Then why didn''t you drink? It seems to be cold!"

    Adam pursed his lips, frowning.

"I won''t drink it no matter what!" Adam thought to himself.

"I don''t need that soup to help me with that!" Adam thought to himself.

Anthea was confused when she saw Adam''s sullen face.

"Why does he behave like a child?" Anthea wondered.

She got up and walked over to smell the soup. There was a strong smell of herbal medicine that

was cooked for a long time.

Anthea asked Adam, "Don''t you really want to drink?"

Adam nced at the soup and shook his head.

After getting along for more than a day, Anthea grew to like Meadow very much. She felt that it

would be a waste of Meadow''s effort to make the tonic soup. She couldn''t help saying, "If you don''t

    drink it, I''ll drink it!"

Seeing that Adam didn''t say anything, Anthea had to take the bowl and gulped down all the tonic

    soup.

The mixed herbal taste was very strong. But Anthea drank it up.

She felt so stuffed that her belly was round, and she burped.

Late at night, Anthea and Adamy side by side on the bed to sleep.

The lights went out, and the room was in bright moonlight.

Although Anthea was nervous and couldn''t sleep the first night she stayed at Adam''s home, she

quickly rxed and fell asleep with Adam''s strong arms around her after she sneaked into Adam''s

    room.

But tonight, she couldn''t sleep and kept tossing and turning.

She felt parched as if her stomach were burning and spurting fire from her nose.

Anthea got up, poured half a ss of cold water, and grabbed the remote control to lower the air

conditioner by several degrees. But soon, she felt thirsty again after lying down.

She clutched the cor on Adam''s chest andined, "I feel so hot..."

Adam felt both funny and worried.

How could she not feel hot after drinking such a big bowl of tonic soup?

Adam had to use a special method to help Anthea feel better.

Adam moved Anthea''s head away from his arms, lifted it with his palm, and kissed Anthea with his

    tongue moving into her mouth.

    Anthea responded sweetly.

She felt her chest having a fire, and her eyes blurred.

Adam turned over and put his forearm on the side of her face, whispered in her ear, "The room is

soundproof. You can make sounds if you can''t hold."

    Anthea blinked her eyes.

Adam smiled and pulled the nket over them.

Anthea''s hands clutched the pillow tightly as if she couldn''t help giving out sounds.

The next day, as they woke up and came out of the room, Meadow, wandering at the stairs, couldn''t

    wait to go forward.

Meadow pulled Adam aside and asked, "Adam, how wasst night?"

Adam frowned and did not answer.

    Content ? N?velDrama.Org.

Meadow frowned and thought, "Was the tonic soup not effective enough?"

"I will tell the kitchen to buy two old turtlester!" Meadow mumbled in her heart.

To avoid Meadow from making any more trouble, Adam said that he would leave with Anthea after

breakfast, using the excuse that Anthea would start school tomorrow and couldn''t stay here

    anymore.

Meadow went upstairs to her room and gave Anthea a jade bracelet when she came down.

The green jade looked very transparent. Even if Anthea did not know the market prices of jades,

she knew that it was expensive. Bemy, who was reading the newspaper on the sofa, frowned so

hard that his eyebrows were almost standing up.

She waved her hand and said, "Lady Meadow, I can''t take this!"

Meadow was determined, "Take it. Please take it!"

Adam inadvertently nced at the jade in Meadow''s hand.

It was not an ordinary jade. Not only was it expensive, but it was also an heirloom left by Adam''s

grandmother. There was a meaning of inheritance in it.

There was a pair of jade. Meadow meant to give the jade to her favored daughters-inw. Rory,

Adam''ste wife, had never received the jade before. It could be seen that Meadow liked Anthea

    very much.

    Anthea was indeed very likable.

There was a warm look in Adam''s eyes. He said to Anthea, "You can take it."

When Anthea heard that, she nodded cutely, "Okay!"

Right after Anthea agreed, Meadow put the jade bracelet on her hand. Her wrist was fair and

slender, like a fine satin, which matched the green jade very well.

"Mom, Dad, we''re leaving," Adam said.

"If you don''t go back to the town when you''re on holiday,e visit us! Even if Adam is in the army,

you cane here like your own home!" Meadow held Anthea''s soft hands and said.

Anthea nodded and took the initiative to open her arms and hugged Meadow, "Lady Meadow,

please take good care of yourself!"

    Meadow smiled happily.

Smelling Anthea''s sweet and girly scent, Meadow, who had never had a daughter, felt her heart

    melt!

However, Anthea did not have the guts to hug Bemy. She only managed to squeeze out a smile,

    "Goodbye, Sir Bemy!"

Bemy lowered his head and continued reading the newspaper. He harrumphed from his nose,

looking as if he was unwilling to reply to Anthea.

Anthea touched her nose dejectedly and was dragged away by Adam.

By the French window, Meadow watched the armygreen jeep drive away from Chin''s Mansion.

Meadow turned to look at Bemy and sneered, saying, "They are gone. Why are you still

    pretending to read the newspaper?"

Bemy put down the newspaper heavily and scolded Meadow unpleasantly, "Nothing has

happened yet. Why did you give the jade to her?"
