The doctors and nurses all looked at Anna. Nancy gave her a thumbs up and said, “Awesome! It’s no
surprise you never told me who your husband is. So he’s the richest man in town.”

Anna felt as if all of her money had vanished. She and Wayne had broken up, but she hadn’t expected
him to have such an impact on her.
