Reba gripped her phone tightly. “How can that be? Wasn’t she supposed to be in prison for seven years?” she asked, her voice choking.

“She was diagnosed withte–stage cervical cancer, and a rtive applied for her to ced under house arrest, Cathy replied angrily.

“Cervical cancer? Doesn’t that sound familiar I mean, Nichs lied about the same disease! Is the court really that stupid to grant that request?” Reba ranted, wincir her stomach suddenly hurt. Her painkillers were wearing off.

“That’s what crossed my mind too! Are you okay? I know I shouldn’t have told you,

“I just gave birth. Can youe over? I’m about to lose it handling this alone,” Reb said, crying.

    “What? Where’s Harvey?”

“He went to the office. He said it was urgent, but I can’t help thinking it’s rted to Alicia.” Reba wiped her tears away haphazardly, her fear growing stronger since had the baby. She was afraid Harvey would leave her again.

“I’ll be there right away!” Cathy eximed. As always, she was reliable.

“Mommy, it’s time to feed!” a nurse called out, pushing a baby crib into the room. Reba smiled, trying to push thoughts of Alicia far from her mind.

The nurse adjusted Reba’s bed to a semi–sitting position. “You haven’t named h yet?” the nurse asked, cing Reba’s baby in her arms.

Reba grimaced, her mind too full to remember such an important detail. “We h few names picked out, but we haven’t decided yet,” she replied, her eyes fixed on h adorable daughter’s face.

But breastfeeding wasn’t as easy as she had imagined. Ma’am, you can try again you’re having trouble,” the nurse said, noticing Reba’s pain and the baby’s cryin

“No, what if she gets hungry? I’ll keep trying. Could you wait outside?” Reba ple The nurse nodded. “Alright, I’ll be back in fifteen minutes. Ma’am, your baby only a little milk; she’s very tiny, so don’t push yourself too hard, okay?”

Reba nodded. She gazed at her baby, imagining the beautiful days ahead with her and Harvey. Then, miraculously, her milk started flowing. She cried with joy, knowing her baby was getting what she needed.

An hourter, Cathy arrived with a shopping bag full of gifts. “Where’s my niece?” she asked, looking around the room. “She’s in the nursery,” Reba replied, smiling slightly. Cathy ced the shopping bag on the nightstand and sat on the sofa.

“Do you know what’s happening at Harvey’s office?” Cathy asked cautiously. Reba frowned and shook her head. “Do you know something?” she asked tensely.

it’s best if you hear it from Harvey directly.” Cathy sighed deeply. “Um, maybe it’s best

Reba red. “If you’re not going to tell me, then don’t mention that something,” she replied irritably.

    you know

“Alright then, um, Alicia went to Harvey’s office and caused a scene,” Cathy said carefully.

“What?” Reba froze. It wasn’t Alicia’s actions that made her so angry, but the fact tha Harvey hadn’t told her. “Harvey must not have wanted to worry you, especially since you just gave birth,” Cathy said, seemingly reading Reba’s mind.

“So, what kind of scene did Alicia cause at Harvey’s office?” Reba asked quietly.

“After being released from prison, the first ce she went was Harvey’s office. She sneaked in using a visitor ID, handcuffed herself to Harvey’s desk, and threatened to hurt herself if Harvey didn’te. She’spletely insane…” Cathy shook her head in disbelief.

Reba was silent, her face suddenly gloomy

    “Hey, calm down. Harvey wouldn’t-”

“I know, I trust Harvey, but I don’t trust Alicia. She must have a n to take Harvey from me. I don’t understand why she won’t give up! They should have put her in a mental hospital!” Reba ranted, holding back tears,

Cathy sighed deeply. “You’re right, but Becky, you have to trust that Harvey can handle

about that woman for a moment and let’s talk about the video content you want to post on your social media.”

Reberen just nodded slowly, her thoughts still lingering on Harvey, Alicia, and what might happen between them.

That night, after Cathy left, Reba tried to contact Harvey, but it always went to voicemail. She became increasingly anxious and restless. She called his assistant, whe told her that Harvey had left the office two hours carlier.

“Cathy? Am I disturbing you?” Reba asked, calling Cathy because she didn’t know who else to talk to.

“No, I’m with my mom at her dialysis. Is something wrong?” Cathy asked, half- whispering.

Reba gripped her phone tightly, not wanting to bother Cathy. “Um, nothing, I’ll cal youter, byc.”

She wished she could run out and search for Harvey wherever he was, but the pain from her C–section still lingered, so all she could do was sit quietly on her bed.

“Ma’am, you did well this morning. Try again, and your milk will flow,” a nurse said sympathetically, noticing that Reba’s milk hadn’te in.

Reba bit her lip. “What if I can’t?” she muttered sadly. The nurse patted Reba’s shoulder. “It’s not a problem at all. It doesn’t change the fact that you’re a mother. We can give her form. Don’t be too tense, okay? You’re still recovering,” she said gently.

“Cathy, are you awake?” Reba asked, calling Cathy at midnight.

“No, I just finished brushing my teeth. What’s wrong, Becky? You sound terrible,” Cathy as usual, was perceptive.

Reba sobbed loudly. “Harvey hasn’te back, and I can’t reach him. I don’t know what to do.”

“What? Oh, shit, this doesn’t sound good. Have you tried calling his office? Or his assistant?” Cathy asked quickly.

“Yeah, his assistant said he left the office in the afternoon, around four. Do you think he and Alicia-”

“No way. I can’t imagine that happening. I mean, Harvey wouldn’t make a foolish decision like that again, especially after you have a child. There’s nothing we can do tonight because it’ste, but I’lle over now, okay? Rx, everything will be fine,”

    Cathy said firmly,

Where are you, Harvey? Reba murmured after ending the call with Cathy. She turned to the window and saw the snow falling beautifully, in stark contrast to her messy feelings..

“Snow, that’s a nice name,” she murmured to herself. She spent the time crying until Cathy arrived and hugged her. “It’s okay, we’ll look for him tomorrow, okay? I’m sure Harvey will show up at his office. Get some sleep; I’ll sleep on the sofa.”

    The next morning,

“I think I can leave now. Look, I can walk! My C–section stitches are dry enough,” Reba said as she slowly walked towards Cathy.

“Oh, </be on! You can leave the hospital tomorrow, okay? If you don’t listen to me, I won’t help you!” Cathy replied, arms crossed.

Reba pouted. “Okay then, are you going to Harvey’s office now?”

“Yeah, I’ll call youter. Focus on your baby; she needs you!” Cathy said, patting Reba’s shoulder before leaving the inpatient room.

Reba waited anxiously. She tried to stay focused and calm, but her milk still wouldn’te. Finally, she gave in and allowed the nurse to feed her baby form. She tried contacting Harvey’s assistant again but ended up in voicemail. She was losing her patience. Her only hope was Cathy; she had to find Harvey.

As she finished feeding her baby with form, her phone suddenly rang. It was Cathy.

“Ma’am, I’ll take your baby back to the nursery,” the nurse said, cing Reba’s baby in the bass. Reba nodded nervously, afraid of what she might hear from Cathy. “Yes? Is he there?” she asked, her voice choked.

“He’s not here, Becky. I asked the security guards, and they said-”

    “Said what?!”

    “Yesterday, Harvey left with Alicia.”

Reba felt a sharp pain as if her bones were separating from her joints. “What?” she whispered, all her strength draining
