    Kong’s face contorted with a frown as he hesitated. He was furious with the soldier who had been beaten, but they were still his soldiers, and it was his duty as the ss monitor to protect them, even if they made mistakes.


    Just as he was about to speak, Ye Sanshi stepped forward and spoke up, “Your soldier insulted Wang Ye, calling him a bootlicker. He even insinuated that Wang Ye would’ve attained an important position with the Japanese during the past fight through bootlicking.”


    Kong’s attention was instantly drawn to Ye Sanshi’s words.


    Then, with a sudden burst of anger, he turned around and shouted, “Du Yuding, get your fucking ass over here!”


    His fists clenched tightly, and he gritted his teeth, disying his immense frustration and disappointment.


    On the running track, the entire ss 9 hade to a halt, their attention now fully focused on Squad Leader Kong’s outburst. The atmosphere was tense and heavy with anticipation as they waited to see how the situation would unfold.


    As everyone’s attention focused on Du Yuding, they could see that his face was still bruised, and he appeared to be trembling with fear. He had been nervous since he saw Wang Ye and the instructor approaching together, and now, his anxiety was reaching its peak.


    Du Yuding had already been through a tumultuous night, and he was exhausted from running. He couldn’t find the strength to get up, and he pretended to be lying there motionless, hoping to avoid any further confrontation.


    Initially, his intention was to express his dissatisfaction with Wang Ye when he saw some students from ss five viting regtions. He wanted to gather negative information about Wang Ye to share with hisrades in ss, as he believed Wang Ye to be a person who liked to perform and tter.


    He thought that by sharing his grievances, he would be able to find support among his ssmates.     “Get up!” Kong ordered, pulling Du Yuding to his feet.


    Wang Ye, who had been angry before, suddenly spoke up, “Forget it, Squad Leader Kong. I’m going back. Let’s put an end to this matter here.”


    Seeing the sorry state of the soldier who had insulted him, Wang Ye felt a sense of embarrassment in arguing further with him.


    The instructor agreed, “Alright, you can go back to your ss now.”

Calling someone a traitor without reason is not a joke; it’s the gravest insult to any soldier who serves with honor and integrity.
