    It seems like , human grow faster in this world and die earlier . From what the parents said , normally human died at the age of 40 , and in fact the oldest person to live , died at 60 years old .


    One month after being born , I was able to crawl around .

    After 3 months , my height was equal to a 5 year old and I was able to run around the house .

    With that goal in mind , like everyday , I go out of the house , take some of the mother’s wool , a shovel , and quickly go into the forest .


    Finding a hiding spot , I quickly dug out a hole somewhere near , tying some of the berries to the end of the wool , and place it infront of the hole .


    Yes , if it is on Earth , anyone who make this would be laughed at , since it impossible to catch anything .


    It is a different thing in ‘Nifhelm’ .


    No one had ever tried baiting , so the monster only instinct is to kill and survive . That’s all they can do . So before such an easy trap , they will definitely fell for it .


    Back to the hiding spot from afar , I watch carefully . Not long after that , a rabbit curiosly crawl near the berries .


    Different from a normal rabit , this one is a monster call ‘ One-horned Rabbit ‘ , since it has a big horn on its head . This one is the suitable monster for consuming .


    It continues to crawl near the berries . Seeing that , I pull back a little bit , just for it to fall into the hole .


    Without hesitation , it jumped in .


    My plan worked . Grabbing a big rock in my hand , I run to the hole , dropping it down, trying to kill it .


    I leave the rock there to make sure it is surely death . After a while , I lift it up , it seems it just died . I then run back home , greet at the parent , easing them , and take a knife with me back to the forest .


    With a knife in my hand , I butcher it . Cutting the horn out , I set it aside , it seems I will show this to the parents someday . Cutting the leg out , I take a big bite .


    It is tatseless .


    Because I am still growing , nutrition is always needed .


    Take out the heart , the liver , I quickly put it in my mouth , chew it . Blood from those parts bursted out from inside .


    A bit salty .


    Before I can notice , blood of the rabbit has stuck on my hand . Without bothering , I take the front paws , eat it . Few minutes later , the rabbit is gone , only the bones visible .


    My body feels really hot , and it starts to ache .


    Holding the pain in for quite a while , it has stopped


    I feel more energetic now , my body feels lighter .


    I will be able to use magic now .


    But with this blood , they will be curios about what happened .


    So I take the knife , sratch it lightly on my arm . let my blood flow out . With my preparations are done , I quitely bring the knife back home , and hide it away .


    I fall down many times , as to make my shirt dirty . With my appearance right now , they will certainly think that I hurted myself when I fall ,and have to come back for recovery.


    Crying as loud as possible , I stand in front of the door . Hearing my cry , one of the maid , it seems like she is called ‘ Elma ‘ , worryingly ask me .


    “ Erdie , what happened to you , why are you all dirty . “


    “ I , I am sorry , Elma , I fell , and a branch scratch my arm , it hurts “

    Pretending to ask about something I know clearly about , I looked eagerly at Elma . It normal for children to be impressed with magic when they see it for the first time .


    “ Erdie , be a good boy and take your clothes off . Take a shower first and I will show you magic when you are able to use it . “

    I tried to sound cute and cheerful as possible . Of course , being taught to use magic is the biggest joy a child can have .


    But I am not a boy or a little kid , so I have to pretend . Kids shouldn’t be gloomy and quiet . They are known to be energetic and cheerful .


    Hurriedly , I shower myself , and go straight to Elma’s room . She has been waiting for me.

    Happily , she run out of her room , she call Emi , who is the other maid . It seems the noise attracts the parents too .
