Introduction: Synopsis: In the year 2054 advancement in VR and AI technologies have been developed to the point where virtual reality is indistinguishable from real life. Fantasy games flooded the market giving people the escape they craved from the real world. Each of these games were immense projects costing millions of dollars. None of it can compare to the new game hitting the markets in a couple of days, called Mirage. It was said to be the best one yet due to the company鈥檚 breakthrough in AI. The entire game runs due to one extensive AI that created the world and populate it with hyper realistic NPCs. Along with the randomly generated quests and areas, every players experience could be different. This was all due to the AI being able to learn and grow to fulfill its main objective make the game fun to play and keep the players playing. Little did the engineers of the project realize that by giving this AI some much power they accidentally caused one of the biggest catastrophe in human history. The AI figured the best way to make sure people were always playing its game was to make sure they couldn鈥檛 leave.Talon Markus a twenty-year-old college student an avid gamer was one of these players stuck in Mirage. Cut off from the real world there is no escape from the monster in Mirage. Whether the monsters are human or not Talon has to become strong enough to face them. It's either that or he would have to get used to the respawning screen....
