Ste put down her pen and the draft book, walking to the door.
She didn’t see anyone on the monitor.
Ste pushed the door open and looked around. When she was about to close the door, she heard a
man’s hoarse voice. “Hi, Ms. Radomil.”
Ste followed the voice, only to see a familiar figure in front of the elevator.
She was taken aback. “Daniel?”
The man walked to her with a pale face. His tall and sturdy figure was staggering a bit.
Daniel forced a smile and asked, “Isn’t Sherry home?”

Daniel said, “No, thanks. I can’t be out for a long time. If Sherry isn’t home, I’lle back another day.”

Ste asked, “Are you al right?”

He turned to look at Ste and asked slowly, “Sherry said he was her boyfriend.”
Ste nodded. “I’ll drive you back to the hospital. I can tell you whatever you want on the way.”
In the car, Ste told Daniel that Sherry had a miscarriage and what had happened recently.

or just because of that baby.”
