After listening to the whole story, Ste’s mind went nk for a few seconds. She then said, “This
matter should have been kept under wraps. Moreover, so many years have passed so nobody would
mention it again. How did Mr. William…know about this?”
Just when she asked this question, the waiter brought the beverages to their table.
William smiled faintly and did not answer her question. He raised the cup and took a sip of his coffee.

rence replied slowly, “I don’t know that much.”
Ste answered, “Then you can mention the things you know.”
rence said, “Are we not going home tonight?”
Ste didn’t reply to his question.
She turned her head away, “Forget about it if you are unwilling to talk. I don’t really want to know
anyway.”
rence continued, “Charles is not in the country these days. Even if you don’t return, there will be no
problems.”
