Isaac clutched Daniel’s shoulders tightly as Daniel spilled the whole story, ending with a pleading
question, “Dad, Is she really my mom?”

Daniel frowned, skeptical, “But she has a boyfriend.”

“If your mom gets a new boyfriend, she won’te back to me, and you won’t get to see her all the
time. Do you want your mom?” Isaac patiently exined.
Daniel really wanted his mom. After hearing Isaac, he hastily replied. “Yes.”
‘Then be a good boy. I made a mistake before, and your mom hasn’t forgiven me. You behave and stay
with her. If she gets into trouble, you tell me right away, okay?”
Daniel hesitated. ‘So you love mom?”
“Of course. Adult stuff isplicated. I won’t harm your mom. You can move in with her and stay
together every day. Isn’t that nice?” Thinking of Brittany’s warm embrace, Daniel’s emotions stirred,

Isaac was pleased. That night, he sent Daniel to Brittany.
Brittany woke up a little disheartened when she saw the note Daniel had left.

meet you. I’m Daniel’s father. I need a favor.”

really worried about my son. He likes you a lot. Could you look after him for a while? Just a month at
