    “Zac, what are you doing here?” Noel didn’t expect to see Isaac there.

    me. You should go home and rest.”

    Upon hearing this, William forgot about his principles and said, “Then have the nurse get you some


    extra bedding so your won’t get cold during the night.”


    “Okay,” Brittany got some fresh linens from the nurse and made up the couch. Meanwhile, her assistant


    arrived with her change of clothes.


    She informed William and then headed to the bathroom.


    When she came out of the shower, William was already asleep. He had taken off his prosthetic leg,


    leaving a hollow space at his calf, looking rather pathetic.

    The room was silent. Brittany’s mind was filled with the events of the evening. She was extremely
