Chapter 1201: Wu Ya, The Domain Leader, And Lady Yunyi

She would never allow anyone to tarnish her father’s name!
Ji You lowered his head and answered, “I, your subordinate, will investigate this as soon as possible.”
Feng Tian waved her hand and signaled for Ji You to back down. As she guarded Feng Shu who was asleep by herself, her eyes were full of love and concern. Mother was such a good person but had ended up like this, and Father...
She believed that all these things were definitely not as simple as they seemed on the surface.
Feng Tian left the bedroom and looked at the maids who were waiting outside the door. “How long have you been serving here?”
“It has been fifteen years. I was selected by the previous maid from themon folk and have been serving at this shrine since I was three years old,” the maid replied respectfully.
Feng Tian looked at her. “I have just arrived and am not familiar with you guys, so tell me more. Also, why do you just call me Lady and not Lady Phoenix? If I am just your Lady, then who is your master?”
The maid answered yes and began to detail what she knew. The Lady Phoenix Shrine was different in Tianfeng Nation as it was not subservient to anyone, not even the Empress. The maids here only served the Lady Phoenix. They only stayed at the Lady Phoenix Shrine and did not go anywhere else. Moreover, every maid here had been serving since they were three years old and had all been orphans so as to ensure their loyalty towards Lady Phoenix and the Lady.
The maids here were trained from a young age and would be loyal till their deaths.
The first training they received was to distinguish between the Lady Phoenix and the Lady. The Lady Phoenix was just a noble title, so possessing it did not make one their real master. However, the Lady was their true master. The way to identify the Lady was ording to the painting which they had seen since young and from Qing Luan, who resided in the Lady Phoenix Shrine.
In close to a thousand years, and since the Lady Phoenix Shrine was created, Qing Luan had never been mounted by anyone. This was the first time she had left Tianfeng Nation to fetch the Lady and the first time she had been mounted. As such, the maids were all certain that Feng Tian was their Lady.
Furthermore, all this information was unknown to everyone except the maids at the Lady Phoenix Shrine, even the Empress did not know.
“No wonder.” Feng Tian nodded in understanding. It turned out that there was a way for proper identification. It was no wonder that when they saw her, they did not show any signs of panic or doubt, but quickly identified her and disyed their loyalty to her without a shred of doubt until now.
“In that case, who is your master?” Feng Tian asked again.
“It is Wu Ya, the domain leader. You are Lady Yunyi.” The maid could not help but raise her head to nce at Feng Tian’s face, then quickly lowered it.
Feng Tian frowned. Wu Ya and Yunyi again! And it was also rted to a previous lifetime. However, was she really Yunyi?
“If you have anything to say, just say it. I will not me you.” Feng Tian saw the maid’s small gesture and knew that she had something to say, so she spoke directly.
The maid hesitated for a while but soon knelt down on one knee. “Princess Yunsheng looks very simr to the Lady, so I am puzzled about how Qing Luan recognized her master. I, your maid, have finished asking my question. Please, Lady, punish me.”
If it was not for the fact that there was a difference between the brows of the Lady and Princess, she would have never been able to recognize that this was their Lady.
Feng Tian also could not figure out this problem, and she frowned slightly. “First, get up and take me to see the portrait you mentioned.”
The maid answered, “Yes.” She stood up from the ground and led Feng Tian out of the main hall. Apart from them, even Princess Yunsheng had never been there before.
Feng Tian waved her hands and asked the maid to wait outside. She walked inside. As soon as she entered, she felt the presence of a strong spiritual force. It instantly surrounded her, making it hard for her to breathe.
She stabilized her breathing for a moment and then lifted up her head to look at the two paintings hanging in the hall. When her gaze settled on the portrait of the man, a stream of spiritual force immediately prated her mind.
