    "No, no. Laney''s in the hospital. Come here quickly. It''s an emergency. I''ll exin everything when

    Without waiting for a response, she hung up the phone.


    The smile on Garrett''s face instantly disappeared. He immediately suspended the meeting and


    rushed downstairs to drive to the hospital J mentioned.

    J anxiously paced the hospital corridor back and forth. What was going to happen to Laney?
