    Tessa decided not to push the subject. “Alright. Since he’s not your type, then I won’t force you. But, if


    you n to abort the child, I suggest that you at least inform Edward about your decision.”


    “I’ll think about it.” Mona did not object to the suggestion. Then, she urged Tessa to return to the


    restaurant. Tessa did not stay for long once she confirmed that Mona was fine. Back at the restaurant,


    the others immediately expressed their concern for Mona when Tessa returned. “Tessa, is Mona okay?”


    “She’s fine. She’s just having some stomach. problems, so I arranged for some light and digestible food


    to be delivered to her room,” she responded with a half-truth.


    Everybody, except for Nichs, did not think.. much about her answer and continued eating their meal.


    The meal ended on a happy note. After that, they dispersed and returned to their respective rooms to


    rest. Nichs brought Tessa home. During the car ride, he began to question her. “What’s wrong with


    your friend?”


    “She…” Tessa was about to answer when she caught a glimpse of Edward, who was driving in the front


    seat. Hence, she changed her mind and said, “It’s nothing.”


    Despite her response, he immediately saw through her evasion. He swept a nce at Edward and


    stopped pursuing the matter.


    When they reached home, Nichs took Tessa to the bedroom and resumed their conversation from


    before. “Is your friend’s condition rted to Edward?”


    Tessa nced at him in astonishment and burst outughing. “I really can’t hide anything from you.” He


    raised his eyebrows slightly and pressed her again. “So, what happened?”


    “Mona is pregnant, and Edward is the father.” She did not conceal anything and responded truthfully.


    Her answer shocked him greatly. A short whileter, he seemed to recall something. “Was it that


    night?” She nodded. His confusion intensified at her response. “That’s strange…”


    Logically speaking, Edward had not drunk a drop of alcohol that night. He was also not that kind of


    person. Combined with the fact that he knew martial arts, there was no reason for something like that

    She easily guessed what he was thinking and giggled. “Indeed, it’s very strange. Unfortunately, Mona

    support her husband’s kind intentions. “In that case, you can see what Edward thinks tomorrow. I will


    visit Mona at the hotel. Her pregnancy symptoms seem to be quite severe.”


    He nodded in agreement. Early the next morning, the entire family had breakfast together. Afterward,


    Nichs left for work. Tessa also went to the hotel after she dropped Gregory off at school.


    Nichs arrived at thepany and headed straight for his office. A short whileter, Edward knocked


    on the door and entered the office to report on Nichs’ daily schedule.


    “President Sawyer, you have two meetings in the morning. One of them is a video conference abroad


    at 10.00AM.” When he finished giving his report, he looked up only to see his employer staring straight


    at him.


    In the beginning, he thought that there was something wrong with his appearance. He nced down at


    himself but could not figure out what was wrong. In the end, he couldn’t help wondering in confusion,


    “President Sawyer, why are you staring at me like that?”


    Nichs smiled and asked, “You’ll be turning thirty-two years old this year, right? I heard your family


    arranged a blind date for youst year. What was the oue of the blind date?”
