Chapter 1024 The Mastermind
“I don’t care whether it’s up to you or not. This is your problem, so you have to take care of it on your
own.”
Susan seemed unwilling to let Eunice go andughed lightly. “In any case, you can choose between
losing your reputation or protecting me.”
“Are you threatening me?” Eunice exploded with anger as she red daggers at Susan with her pretty
eyes.
However, Susan was unfazed. She settled into afortable position at the head of the bed and said,
“Think what you want. I only look at the results anyway.”
In the end, Eunice had no choice but to hold in her anger and leave the ward.
She left the hospital with an unpleasant look on her face. Whenever she thought of Susan’s threatening
words in the ward earlier, she felt as if she was about to explode. In all her life, she had never been
threatened like this before.

She kicked the car door, venting her anger. All around her, people were frightened by her vicious

from the hospital.
Meanwhile, in the detention center, Edward was talking to the stage operator.
“Our president said that as long as you tell us who the mastermind is, we can get you out. If not,
prepare to stay here for the rest of your life.”
Hearing this, the stage operator felt a sudden pang of fear, but remained silent.
At the sight, Edward seemed to recall something and sneered with narrowed eyes. “What, do you think
that person behind you can get you out? Stop being delusional, my friend. As long as our president
gives the order, no one would dare to let you out!”
“Impossible! She said that she will bail me out!”
The stage operator finally responded, but after he finished speaking, he immediately regretted it. He
had shown his hand.
As if he did not see the chagrin on his face, Edward curled his lips and continued to tantalize him. “We
can wait and see if she would, but let me remind you that you only have this one chance to save
yourself. Think about it; do you want to spend the rest of your life in a cell, or do you want to take the
chance to leave and start over?”
“I want to leave!”

office, knocking on the door before entering.
“President Sawyer, the stage operator has confessed.”
“Who was behind it?”

Edward reported truthfully, “It was Eunice’s assistant. However, I looked into it, and this assistant has
no grudge against the youngdy, so I guess it was Eunice who ordered it.”
Nichs’ face instantly dropped. This was not a result he had expected. Eunice had repeatedly gone
against his wife in the past, but he had never paid much mind to it. However, he’d never thought that
this woman would have such malicious intentions.
Feeling the fury emanating from Nichs, Edward knew that he waspletely enraged and
cautiously asked, “What should we do next? Should we call the police?”
After giving it some thought, Nichs waved his hand and said, “Leave the rest to me. You can get
back to your work.”

with it properly.
Once Edward left, he pondered for a moment and picked up the phone on his desk and made an
appointment to meet Sofia. Later in the evening, the two met at a cafe.
When Sofia saw him, she got to the point. “Earlier on the phone, you said you found out who the
mastermind is, Mr. Sawyer.”
“It’s your second apprentice, Eunice,” Nichs spat, his tone as cold as frost.
“Impossible!” Shocked, Sofia subconsciously retorted, not believing that her student would do such a
vicious thing.
Nichs was not surprised by her behavior and sneered. “Why is it impossible? How well do you know
this student of yours?”
