Nichs responded indifferently. It was as if he didn’t want to talk about this topic. He changed the
topic of conversation instead. “Do you have any major tasks this time around? It’s rare to see you being
the one who takes charge personally.”
Cole did not bother to hide anything since Nichs had once been the most promising member of his
team. “I came back this time to protect a witness. This person is of great importance, so I have to be
here in person,” he uttered.
Nichs nodded but didn’t ask any more questions. After a while, the waiter began to serve their

J for a while more, Nichs. I can let her go back once I’m done dealing with these matters,” Cole
dered firmly.
