    Mayaboy’s heart continued to pound against her rib cage even after she stepped out of the


    guesthouse. She turned around to nce at the only light in the guesthouse that was still turned on.

    turned to address the couple who had just arrived. “You guys got here just in time. Take a look at your

    Oliver rushed over to give his daughter a firm kick. “You’ve always been such a f*cking


    embarrassment!”


    The n leader’s wife let out a scoff. Things were just as she had expected—she had guessed that

    “Are you sure about the part about adultery? Could there have been a misunderstanding?” Greta asked


    in a careful tone.


    “A misunderstanding? She sneaked outte at night when she was supposed to be in bed, and she


    was sweating by the time she came home. I caught her red-handed! What else could she have done if


    she hadn’t been out with another man at that time of the night?


    Where else could she have gone?! I’m sure that she ran off somewhere to go on a date with another


    man!” the n leader’s wife cried. Mayaboy didn’t bother to stand up for herself at all. She knew that

    stepped aside as he spoke to the n leader’s wife.
