    Jason gave her a faint smile. “I did try to look for her at first, but I couldn’t track her down at all. I don’t

    “I’m afraid your grandmother isn’t going to be able to hang on for much longer. It was already a miracle


    that she managed to witness your return and the birth of your child, Selena,” Jerry uttered with a sigh.


    Lindsay was the only one who knew that she would have probably died a long while ago if it weren’t for


    the fact that she had one final, unresolved desire to see her grandchild.


    “Don’t say that, Grandpa,” Selena said. He shook his head. “I know her condition, and I know what’s


    going on in her mind. I’m not sad, Selena. If anything, I feel reallyforted. Your grandmother has


    suffered a lot, and it’s about time we free her from this pain.”


    Selena felt tears welling up in her eyes. “You’re back now, and your baby’s born. All that’s left is


    Jason’s marriage now. I want to make sure the wedding happens soon so that your grandmother will be


    able to shut her eyes in peace,” he continued.
