"BAM!" the first tree blocked a third of the entrance used by the zombies. Two more heavy logs soon fell by the side and covered the tunnelpletely.
Because a part of the tree was still attached to the stump, it indirectly kept them together from getting removed.
"Get rid of the remaining zombies!" Sate ordered. The gun zed after her order as it turned the zombies into piles of rotten flesh on the ground.
"Keep it up! Don''t quit halfway! If your hand is giving up, then use your leg to hold that damn gun!" she shouted. What she said turned into the motivation that gets them to struggle a little more.
Minutes passed, and atst, the zombies that were still moving around are finally wiped out.
"Feng!" Sate called for Zhang Qin Feng.
"Feng!!!" she raised her voice but received no reply back from where Zhang Qin Feng went. Feeling nervous about the silence, Sate dropped the Decimator Rocket Launcher that kept her encumbered and rushed towards where Zhang Qin Feng went.
By the time she arrived at the three trunks of the fallen tree, Zhang Qin Feng was no longer there. There''s not a single hint of battle, injuries, or an attack at all. He vanished just like how he usuallyes and goes.
"Where have you been???" such a sudden change in the event made Sate worried.

She returned to the where everyone gathered about ten minutester. Unsure of what to tell them, Sate was forced to lie to all of them, including Alex and Queenie.
"Feng found something and decided to take it on his own. All of us shall continue moving forward until we arrived at the second safe zone. We''ll leave two men here in case Feng came back and formunication purposes."
"Who''s willing to be responsible for this?" She asked.
"Me!"
"Me!"
Two loyal soldiers raised their hands.
"Good. Do not hesitate toe to us if the number of zombies is increasing over here. Both of you shall take this position until someonees and reces you two at night. Your responsibility for staying here is to maintainmunication if Fenges back, not for battle, understood?" Sate added.
"We understand. Please move forward before us. We''ll report back to the main group if there''s anything happen here." the two soldiers hammered their chest while replying to Sate.
"Good. Then I''ll leave this ce to you both. Everyone else, follow me!" Sate ordered.
The 35 remaining soldiers followed in her footsteps as they picked up their speed towards the second abandon building. If the estimation does not go off by too much, this ce should be unupied by the zombies.

''What just happened, Stein?'' Zhang Qin Feng asked.
He was still in confusion about what had happened earlier. When the third tree fell, a ck shadow came at him fiercely, just like what happened with Sate back in Turbine City.
But there are differences between the two. The one that attacked the Tyrant back in Turbine City smells differently from the one that attacked him. If he would have to say, this "attacker" smells earthy, like freshly dug soil,pared to the one back then.
The one from the Turbine City had a pungent smell, like pee or bodily fluid from somewhere.
Although he didn''t fell victim to its sneak attack, his condition was not too good either. The emergency Dimensional Travel destroyed part of Stein''s function, making this option no longer usable. The self-repairing process is working nonstop to mend this problem. Still, in the meantime, he had to protect himself from any attack.
"How deep we went?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. He felt that the monster has been traveling for a while.

*Krang!* the digging monster that has been moving underground for a while finally arrived at a rtively spacious underground dome. Based on the final touches, it was the work of human art.
The materials used to build this ce resemble the ones used by Victor and Marvin to make the Wind Base liveable. On the edge of the dome were multiple exits and broken equipment. From an initial look, this ce is no different from a dump.
It was crowded with plenty of precious goods, from broken electronics to vehicles. Even debris from a copsed building, leftover from a tank, and parts of cars and trucks were seen.
The only thing it was missing was the zombies.
"Howe such a big dump has no zombies at all? Don''t tell me that this monster ate all of them and turning them into nutrients?" he randomly guessed. Since he had nothing better to do here anyway, Zhang Qin Feng would instead start to inspect his surroundings and search for an exit.
He was lucky to have a few spare Atom Batteries in his hand. Using one to power the modified torchlight in his hand, Zhang Qin Feng added some illumination to this barely lit trash dome.
''Wow… This ce is quite a treasure trove… To think there are even military vehicles and pre-apocalypse junk here. If we were to repair them and manufacture them, won''t it helps us to get our base constructed faster?'' Zhang Qin Feng said.

While on the ground above, Sate and the others were safely barricading themselves inside the second building. This ce looked like a temporary building for rest and leisure. There was a signboard outside by the roadside, which is covered with overgrown foliage.
