Chapter 102: Xiyang City, Han Country (2)

"Mr. Zhang, wee to Xiyang City. Do you know where you want to go first?" he got into a private hire after getting out of the airport. Since it was prebooked much earlier before the day of his flight, this driver will probably be his personal chauffeur for the next few days.
"You can call me Robert. This is my name card. As long there''s a destination, I can get you to most ces." the driver handed his business card to Zhang Qin Feng politely.
"I won''t be getting into work for the next few days. Please choose a few ces for me to visit for the next few days. I''ll be getting in touch with you when I''m ready to go." Zhang Qin Feng said. Putting on the sunsses over his eyes, he closed his eyes while Robert drove the car into the city center.

Their journey into the town center was a quiet one. What was more impressive was that even though the traffic is considerably worse, Robert''s driving skillpensated for the obstruction. This can be said to be one of the mostfortable journeys he had before from knowing Wang Yufei until now.
"Mr. Zhang, the traffic is getting worst because it''s lunchtime right now. Would you like me to bring you to some good ce with fair pricing?" Robert asked.
The reason he was suggesting this was because there was nothing he can do if they''re stuck in traffic at this time. Instead of staying in the car queuing until they entered the city center''s district, it was morefortable for Zhang Qin Feng to get his lunch nearby.
"I would like to have some meat. Please bring me to somewhere you think it is generously priced and delicious. We can have lunch together there until the traffic gets better." Zhang Qin Feng nodded.
"Noted. Coincidently, we''re not far from the junction leading us out from this motorway. Please let me take you to a ce where it was frequent by people that enjoyed the Western Han Cuisine." Robert said as he signaled the indicator light.
It takes them less than fifteen minutes to get to the restaurant from the motorway. From its seclusive spot, it was evident that this restaurant was opened here with a purpose.
"Mr. Zhang, although the decoration of this restaurant is average, I dare to say that their chef is one of the best around Xiyang City. Even the City Mayor will secretly visit this ce once in a while to enjoy their signature dishes."
"Madam, I''m here with a guest today." greets the people inside the restaurant as he opened the door for Zhang Qin Feng to enter first.
As Robert said, the restaurant is averagely decorated. Except for a few banners of excellence in Western Han Cuisine and photo frames along the wall, it was filled with trinkets and traditional tools as disys.
"Oh, Robert-Boy… Who did you bring here today?" an olddy in her seventies came out from the kitchen doorway. In her hand was a tray of beef cooked in vinegar and green pepper and poured on top of piping hot rice.
''It smells delicious…'' Zhang Qin Feng''s appetite was aroused by a look and smell. It seems that Robert did not bring him randomly to a ce that just caters to cheat the tourist''s tastebuds.
"This is Mr. Zhang, from Dongcheng. It''s his first time here, so please prepare few simple dishes as lunch for him." Robert said as he introduced Zhang Qin Feng to the olddy.
"Oh… Visitor from Dongcheng. Have a seat, youngd. Can you take spicy food?" thedy wiped the table to get rid of any possible dust staying on the surface. At the same time, she asked if Zhang Qin Feng can handle hot food as a few of her signature dishes were for the spicy challengers.
"I can take spicy foods. Feel free to prepare them."Zhang Qin Feng answered her question.
"Good. Good. Give me ten minutes. I''ll get something out to feed both of you very soon." the olddy returned to the kitchen afterward.
"Mr. Zhang, it won''t take too long. Believe me, the food served here is one of the most delicious ones you can get around here." Robert said.
"Hahaha, judging from that te of beef in her hand just now, I know that you''re not lying. I can''t wait but to anticipate what she brings out from the kitchen."
"Did the olddy operates the restaurant all on her own? Is there nobody helping her?" puzzled, Zhang Qin Feng asked if this ce has no other people helping thedy.
"Her daughter-inw was the one cooking. The olddy was like a quality control officer going around making sure the restaurant was the same. Her son was a manager in the town center, so he usually left to work early ande backte in the evening."
"On the busier weekend, there are two youngsses in their university age who wille to help their parents," said Robert. From the look of it, he''s very close to the business owner and their family.
"Alright, boys. Food is here." the olddy came out with a tray. Although the portion was lighter than what Zhang Qin Feng usually had back in where he came from, it was still considered a lot.
The olddy brought out a herbal soup with chicken, a te of beansprout cooked in garlic and chili oil, and the beef cooked in vinegar and green pepper.
"They smell delicious." Zhang Qin Feng said. Taking the chopstick, he started to enjoy his lunch. The two continued to chat as Zhang Qin Feng get to know about the situation and life in this Xiyang City. Until someone ising through the entrance roughly.
The door was opened in a rush as a youngdy came in panic.
"Looking at the first young local female from this country, Zhang Qin Feng has an indescribable impression of her. She was in a rush without greeting anyone aftering into the restaurant like a typhoon.
After she vanished to the upstairs, Robert chuckled.
"That''s the older granddaughter of the olddy. Yoojin," he said.
