    After they arrived downstairs, they all sat down.


    Charlie sat next to Theresa, who only had eyes for her two children.


    She took care of Leonard and Ben for dinner.


    Leonard had his eyes on Charlie and asked, “Why does he get to sit next to you?”

    It was obvious he was disliked!


    Theresa lifted her head and nced at Charlie, “You go sit over there.”


    There were so many seats avable for him to sit but why did he have to sit next to her?


    Looking at her serious expression, Charlie had no choice but to listen to her and stand up, sitting at the


    farthest position from her.


    It was rare for him to be so obedient, and seeing him like this, Theresa felt a bit sorry for him.


    But when she thought about all the things he had done, she thought he deserved it!


    Brenda was helping everyone with their food when Theresa asked, “Brenda, did you call Mrs. Calsis?”


    Brenda said, “Yes, I did.”


    “How’s it going with Sarah?” Theresa asked.


    “Mrs. Calsis is still at the police station!” Brenda said, “I think she really wants to put Sarah in jail for


    some days before she’s happy.”


    Leticia was not going to spare Sarah!

    She thought of the way Charlie desperately tried to defend Sarah and it was because of him that Leticia


    hated Sarah so much.


    Theresa also looked up at Charlie and asked him, “Your girlfriend is in jail, and why are you still


    hanging around in front of me? Don’t you go save her?”


    Charlie looked at Theresa and said, “Don’t piss me off.”


    “What do you mean? I have said if you are not with her, I will despise you.”

    Theresa kept talking to Brenda, “Brenda, call Mrs. Calsister and tell her to go home to rest. The


    police will do what they have to do! If the police let Sarah go, we’ll let it go.”


    After all, Sarah didn’t cause any substantial harm.


    What made Theresa angrier was Charlie!


    Without his connivance, Sarah would not have done these things.
