are not getting a divorce I don’t want it! I agreed to divorce you because i was angry. In fact, I do not

Charlie looked at her. “I’m pushing myself? What do I have to regret about being with the woman I
love? You just don’t believe I love you, do you?”
“No, I don’t.” Theresa said. “It’s true that I have cured your legs and you are now able to walk. To me,
you are just one of my patients and I would have cured anyone else. So, you don’t have to force
yourself to take responsibility for me out of pity.”
Charlie had a headache as he heard her words.
He grabbed her hand and put it on his chest. “Do you feel it? Do you feel my heart? It’s pounding
because I love you. You don’t believe I love you. What the hell do I have to say or do so that you’ll
believe it?”
“That’s ridiculous,” Theresa said. “You’re too good for me. Why do you love me?”
“You’re good too,” Charlie said. “You had to ask me why I love you, but how should I know the answer?
I’m probably just an ordinary guy who loves your beauty as well as the feelings and days when you’re
with me.”

Theresa was surprised to hear that.

Theresa said, “Because we are not right for each other in terms of status and background. Everyone
knows that your wife should be someone who is good enough for you! They think it’s a loss for you to
have a woman like me.”
“But I don’t think so!” Charlie looked at her. “In my eyes, you are the woman who is good enough for
me! They can think whatever they like, but they can’t force you to leave me, can they? What’s so
important about what other people think? And what I think doesn’t matter to you? Would you rather
have a ma like Rawlins than try to love me? Am I not even as good as an old man of almost fifty like
that in your eyes?”
Theresa didn’t know why he was talking about Rawlins again. “I told you I have nothing to do with
Rawlins.”

Charlie pursed his lips and stopped talking. He just stared at her with his deep eyes as if using her
of going too far.
He had said all these things, but she showed no sign of changing her mind.
After a while, Charlie came to his senses and said, “What exactly does it take for you to not divorce
me?”
“We have already talked about the divorce, haven’t we?”
“I don’t want to divorce now Charlie said.
Theresaughed, “How old are you to backtrack on what you said?”
“I’ll do anything to keep you from leaving me”
He had lost his face with her!
If he had known he would fall in love with her, he wouldn’t have signed that stupid agreement when
they got married!
