Chapter 768 A Guaranteed Profit
Skr''s hair had grown to reach her corbone. She delicately ran her fingers through her locks
and skillfully tied them up into a neat ponytail.
“What endorsement contract? Is it for themercial za?” she asked, stealing a nce at
Tobias through his reflection in the mirror, hoping to discern any hint of his thoughts. However, his
face remained impassive, devoid of any visible reaction. Gradually, a refreshing scent filled the
room.
As Tobias didn''t bother replying to her, Skr''s lips curled silently. Saorise, the brand ambassador,
was handpicked by Tobias himself.
She couldn''t even get Tobias to select her as the brand ambassador.
Hence, she decided to stop considering Saorise as her imaginary rival. There was no need to
compare herself to someone on a different level, as doing so would only bring unnecessary
frustration.
Skr opened the drawer and retrieved the birth control pills. She popped one out to take it. She no
longer needed reminders to take the pill, as she had fully epted her circumstances.
Before she could do so, Tobias stopped her. “What are you doing? I didn''t get any into your body, so
you don''t have to take any pills.”
Skr was worried. When Tobias was about to climaxst night, he remained inside her for a long
time, and she was concerned that he might''ve lost control.
Penelope''s experience served as a reminder for Skr that she should not consider getting
pregnant until her rtionship with Tobias was stable. She understood that it would be unfair to
bring a child into an uncertain situation.
As Skr ignored him and nned on eating the pill, Tobias reached out and took it from her, his
gaze turning dark. Frustrated, he admonished her, “I specifically told you not to take the pill. Why
won''t you listen to me? Why are you so stubborn?”
Skr had no choice but to throw the pill away. Without saying anything, she spun on her heels and
went downstairs, not feeling aggrieved at all.
It was early in the morning, but Miranda was unexpectedly present in Skr''s living room. It felt like
a dream to Skr, seeing Miranda in her house at seven-fifteen in the morning.
“Why are you here early in the morning?” Skr asked as she yawnedzily, sinking onto the
couch. She still looked sleepy.
Miranda noticed that Skr looked unwell, as her cheeks were unnaturally pale.
“Did you take the medication I gave you yesterday? Is it working?”
Skr observed the excitement in Miranda''s eyes, as if the medication she had brought was a
miraculous remedy.
She snapped, “I can''t believe you brought me prescription medication. I dare not take it. Don''t you
know that it has serious side effects?”
Miranda let out an icy snort and reprimanded her, “Young people nowadays are dramatic. You dare
not eat anything, huh? It isn''t that scary. If you don''t want to take the medication, give them back to
me so I can give them to others.”
Skr spread her hands, indicating that she couldn''t do it. “I already threw them away in the trash
can. Do you want me to retrieve them?”
Miranda huffed angrily, feeling betrayed by Skr''s actions as she had to rely on a friend to obtain
the medication.
Pointing upstairs, she lowered her voice to ask, “Is Tobias around? I don''t see him.”
“He''s sleeping upstairs, but I don''t know what time he''ll be up. Just look at me. Why would you need
to talk to him? Is there something you need from him?”
Miranda handed a contract to Skr, smoothing out her own clothes in the process. She crossed
her legs and straightened her posture, projecting an air of professionalism.
“I''m currently working on a project that promises significant profits. However, Ick the initial funding
and investment required. Can you assist me with that?” Miranda asked.
It dawned on Skr that Miranda hade to her early in the morning to ask for money.
She nced at the bold words written on the contract—Taffledale Health Investment.

The name alone seemed pretty untrustworthy to her.
She proceeded toin, “I don''t have any money. I''ve recently lost all my savings, and I''ve also
lost an endorsement deal. On top of that, I need topensate for another endorsement. I truly
don''t have any money.”
