Chapter 1792 Are You Sure

    Chapter 1792 Are You Sure

"It''s okay, Ms. Zhao. So, do you want to go up?" the security guard asked I.

Still wearing a smile, I nodded to him. After hesitating for a moment, she walked into the building.

The guard was confused about what I wanted to do, but he knew it would be inappropriate for him to

    ask.

Soon, I got into the elevator.

When Phoebe saw I, she dashed to her and pulled her to a corner. After making sure that no one

else was watching, she worriedly said, "Ms. Zhao, what were you doing? Mrs. Lu just asked if you told

me anything. I didn''t know what to say!"

"I didn''t do anything. I was just preparing a surprise for Sheryl. Don''t worry. Everything''s fine," I said,

patting Phoebe''s shoulder to console her.

Upon seeing I being soposed, Phoebe decided to just trust her and to stop worrying.

After this, I went to Sheryl''s office. Standing in front of the door, I took a deep breath to calm

    herself, before pushing it open.

Sheryl knew I was going toe back. I had left in such a hurry that Sheryl knew she''de

back right away. When she heard the door open, she already knew that it would be I.

"Why are you back so soon? What happened?" Sheryl asked. She was reading something and didn''t

even raise her head as she spoke.

Walking over to Sheryl, I put what she''d been holding on Sheryl''s desk.

"Here you are!" I beamed at Sheryl.

As Sheryl put down the pen in her hand, she looked at what I had just ced on her desk. It was a

    ne ticket and an invitation.

Frowning, she wondered to herself, ''What''s this?''

"Is this for me?" she asked.

I casually sat across from her and shrugged. "It''s from a client. He asked me to go. Whether or not

we close the deals depends on this party."

"Then what does it have to do with me?"

Sheryl was puzzled. ''Isn''t she the one who normally handles these things? What''s she trying to say? Is

she asking me to do it?''

"I''m on my period. Are you seriously still going to make me go to this thing?" I smiled innocently at

    Sheryl.

"I, are you kidding me?" Sheryl asked yfully.

While she understood what I meant, she still found it strange.

Putting a hand over her stomach, I dramatically said, "I have cramps. It hurts so much. How can I

get on a ne in this state?"

    Her eyes were pleading.

    "Alright, alright. I''ll go."

''It''s fine. I don''t have anything to do tomorrow. I can attend the party, and I could use this trip to rx, ''

    Sheryl thought to herself.

    "Really?" I eximed in disbelief.

Sheryl didn''t really like going to social gatherings like this, and I knew this.

Before going to Sheryl''s office, I had been wondering how she could convince Sheryl to go. She

hadn''t thought that it would be this easy to get Sheryl to agree.

"Why? Did you change your mind? It''s fine. You can still go if you want," Sheryl said tly when she

noticed the look of surprise on I''s face.

"I''m not going. I''d rather rest at home. It''s better that you go."

I shook her head insistently, afraid that Sheryl would suddenly change her mind.

Sheryl couldn''t help but chuckle. She walked over to I and patted her shoulder. "All right, all right. I''ll

    go. I promise."

I was consoled upon hearing this.

A momentter, Phoebe came in with coffee. Sheryl and I then enjoyed chatting with each other

over the coffee that Phoebe had brought.

Sheryl didn''t know that I had made her first decision without even knowing what sort of result this

    decision was going to yield.

At the end of the business day, I left the office and sat inside her car, deep in thought.

She still couldn''t get her mind off the messages. She wasn''t sure if it was the right thing to make Sheryl

    go to that party.

More than anything, she just wanted Sheryl to see what kind of person Charles really was. Even

though it would break Sheryl''s heart, she knew that she had to do it. She didn''t want Sheryl to be

    blindsided again.

Although she was aware by cheating Sheryl, that she was as bad as the person who had sent those

pictures to Sheryl, she still decided to follow through with this.

Soon, Sheryl too left the office. Through her car window, I watched as Sheryl got into her car and

    drove off.

As I looked at Sheryl, she couldn''t help but me herself.

Suddenly, her phone rang much to her surprise. She was lost in her own thoughts, and the sudden

sound of her phone ringing startled her. When she looked at her phone screen, she saw that it was

    N?velDrama.Org (C) content.

    Aron calling her.

"What''s up? Why are you calling?" I groaned.

Aron immediately knew that she wasn''t in a good mood. He lightheartedly said, "I, I''m here to pick

you up. I''m right behind your car. Get out."

I turned to see Aron''s car. She hung up the call and stepped out of her car to get into his.

Aron instantly knew that something had happened, based on the look on I''s face. He grabbed her

hand and gently asked, "I, what''s wrong?"

I seemed to be facing a dilemma—she didn''t know what to say.

Aron couldn''t help but worry even more when I didn''t say anything.

I knew that if she didn''t say anything, Aron would probably overthink and worry about her. So she

decided to tell him what happened.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

Aron was skeptical. After all, this was between Sheryl and Charles—it wouldn''t be right to meddle.

I grew gloomier when she saw that Aron wasn''t supportive of her decision. She shook his hand off in

    annoyance.
