Chapter 1749 I Dont Love You

    Chapter 1749 I Don''t Love You

Holley was preupied during dinner, but ck didn''t seem to care. What mattered to him was her

    presence.

"Holley, let''s go to a bar. It''s a more suitable ce to have a talk." ck suggested, trying every means

he could think of to spend more time with Holley. He didn''t want to part from her as of yet.

"Okay." Looking at ck, Holley thought, ''I will do everything I can to satisfy ck''s wishes. Besides,

tonight might be all we''ve got.''

The music in the bar was deafening as usual, but everybody seemed to enjoy it as if the loud beats

could erase their bad luck and make them get rid of the whammy of the day. The colorful strobe lights

shed around the dance floor, cutting through the dark pool of people wildly grooving.

"ck, what do you want to talk about?" Holley leaned over and asked, not wanting to beat around the

    bush.

However, ck wasn''t ready to talk. Tilting his jaw, he gestured for Holley to look at the dance floor in

front of them. Seeing that her eyes followed his, he smiled. "Holley, would you like to dance with me?"

ck offered his hand, waiting for Holley to ept. Caught off-guard, she was hesitant to take it. Her

mind was trying its best to calcte what ck wanted to do, but she couldn''t find an answer. Feeling

    helpless, she finally agreed.

As soon as they stepped onto the dance floor, the loud music started to fade. The wild beams of

colorful bright lights started to dim, making way for intermittent and slower pulses of faint colors. With a

moving bad now ying, some people walked back to their seats, while others hugged each other as

if on cue. ck and Holley hugged each other as soon as the song started, intertwining their bodies on

the dance floor like the others. Moving closer to Holley, ck whispered, "Holley, you know how much I

love you. Being away from you makes it hard for me to breathe. I just don''t want to break up with you,

no matter what people think or say

Feeling ck''s deep affection, Holley was moved. If not for the dim light in the bar, her red eyes

would''ve given her away. He didn''t know how hard she controlled herself now, for the only thing he

    could feel was her indifference..."

Frowning slightly, Holley pushed ck away. Looking into his eyes, with a serious expression on her

face, she asked, "Didn''t I make it clear to youst time? Why do you get tangled with me? You''re way

out of my league. We can never be a perfect match. I am going to marry Jason soon. So please, just

    forget about me."

If ck didn''t hear it with his own ears, he could still pretend that Rex had lied to him about everything.

But now, even Holley was telling him how determined she was to be with Jason.

What else could ck do? The truth was, there was nothing he could do except to let go, but he didn''t

want to. Grabbing Holley''s arm, he put forth more strength involuntarily. His eyes were filled with rage

as he asked, "Why? What makes him a better man? Why do you choose him instead of me? Why?"

ck''s voice roared over the top of the slow music, attracting other people''s attention.

For a second, Holley felt embarrassed, noticing everyone''s eyes on them. Shaking off ck''s hand

with full strength, she replied, "Why? I just don''t love you anymore. Isn''t that reason enough?"

Holley''s words struck ck like daggers. He didn''t know which one was worse, having her say she

didn''t love him to his face or being rejected in public.

ck stared at Holley nkly, disbelief reflecting in his eyes. He stood still, ignoring the other people

pushing and bumping against him as they continued to dance the night away. He felt the blood rushing

to his head but remained silent. It seemed like time had stopped for him for now.

Holley almost couldn''t bear to see it. All of a sudden, a guy bumped into ck, nearly knocking him

down. ck remained motionless, his face showing no reaction whatsoever, making Holley feel

annoyed for no reason. She frowned and shouted, "ck, haven''t I expressed myself clearly?"

"Holley, why did you date me initially?" Enduring the pain he was feeling, ck looked at Holley in

    misery.

Feeling ck''s burning eyes, Holley didn''t dare to look at him. She avoided looking at his eyes by

instinct and pretended that she didn''t care. "Haven''t I told you already? I only dated you for money.

Why else do you think I did it? ck, what else do you have except for the money of your family?

Jason is also rich, and he''s nice to me. Of course, I will choose him over you. Why would I chose a

loser who''spletely dependent on his father?"

Holley knew how much her words had hurt ck, but she intentionally said them anyway. It was the

only way to make him desperate. Otherwise, he would be a constant source of further trouble.

As Holley''s words began to sink in, the pain on ck''s face became more obvious. He could no longer

hide his disbelief and hopelessness. He could feel his entire body shaking, and he couldn''t help but

    move one step backward.

"Did you ever love me?" Clenching his fists, ck expected Holley''s answer but didn''t dare to hear it.

    He just asked numbly.

"No. I never loved you." Holley answered, not skipping a beat. She pretended to be indifferent as she

looked at ck, and his expression was more dreadful than before.

It was the answer he had expected earlier, but there was no greater impact than hearing it directly from

Holley''s lips. ck seemed to have lost all his strength. He couldn''t help buty down on the nearby

    couch.

Holley seized her chance, ncing at him onest time before walking out of the bar quickly.

When ck came back to his senses, Holley had long gone. Even if he wanted to find her, he couldn''t.

After leaving the bar, Holley sighed with relief. Although she knew that her actions had resulted in

ck''s embarrassment and even left him dispirited, she was clear that she had to do it.

The night breeze filled the air, sending chills down the back of her neck. The street barely had any

bystanders. Walking towards her car, Holley just unlocked the door and was about to get inside when a

    man grabbed her from behind.

Surprised, Holley turned around suddenly, thinking it was a thief. She was all prepared to cry for help

when she recognized his familiar face. She had never thought Jason woulde to the bar.

"Aren''t you supposed to be in the hospital?" She couldn''t help but ask Jason impatiently, her brows

    wrinkled as she spoke.

On the other hand, Jason''s expression was the exact opposite of Holley''s. Looking at her with much

affection, he answered joyfully after a long while, "I missed you. I called you, but you rejected it. I told

you toe to see me, but you didn''t. So I decided toe and see you instead. Surprise! Aren''t you

    happy to see me?"

Jason looked at Holley with pride, expecting her praise, but she didn''t look quite happy at all. It wasn''t

long until he realized that she looked upset.

"Jason, enough! Aren''t you clear about our rtionship? Until when are you going to keep doing this?"

Holley tried to shake off Jason''s grip, not wanting to talk to him, but he wasn''t nning to let go.

Instead, he grabbed her arm more tightly.

"Holley, don''t forget that we are getting married. Do you really think that I will let you go? I want to be

with you. Nothing can break us apart."

"But I don''t want to!" Holley blurt out without thinking.

Jasonughed knowingly. "What? Let me guess. Is ck in the bar? Don''t you want him to see us

    together?"

Hearing that, Holley didn''t look so well. But she didn''t retort because there was no point in doing so.

    Jason finally released her.

"Let''s go. I have to go back to the hospital," Jason said, walking towards the passenger side. "You are

my fiancée. Shouldn''t you take me back?" Smiling, he gave Holley a wink before getting inside her car.
