Chapter 1660 Have Seen It All
Sheryl had an important meeting the next day, so she had to go back to thepany.
As soon as she reached the building, she saw Lewis.
Lewis had also heard that Charles had woken up. On the one hand, he knew that Sheryl was d, so
he felt happy for her; but on the other hand, he realized that his chances with her had gotten slimmer.
He had hung out around the hospital all this time in the hope that he could, by chance see Sheryl, and
check if she was well; even though, he wasn''t sure that she wanted to see him.
Lewis didn''t dare to look for Sheryl more than that, because he knew he couldn''t control himself if he
saw her. He wanted her to be his woman, but there was nothing he could do.
As usual, he decided to go out and drink in defeat.
He had drunk a lot of liquor, but he couldn''t shake off his worries. Instead, he missed Sheryl even more.
Lewis drove to the building of Cloud Advertising Company, and unexpectedly, God showed him mercy,
and he actually met Sheryl when he arrived there.
"Sheryl?" Lewis was overjoyed and walked over to her.
Sheryl was confused as to why Lewis was there. When he approached her, she could smell the alcohol
on him.
"Have you been drinking?" Sheryl looked up at Lewis and asked this with a nk expression.
"Hmm, I could only work up the courage toe find you after getting drunk," he admitted. Lewis
couldn''t stand steadily and stumbled when he walked up to Sheryl.
Sheryl saw this and was afraid that Lewis would fall without help.
"You should go home now. It''ste," Sheryl said but didn''t move to support Lewis. She didn''t want to be
nice to him, because she worried that he would misunderstand her kindness and assume it was
affection.
"Sheryl, do you know why I chose to give you up?" Lewis said half to himself while looking at Sheryl.
He didn''t care if she was listening or not, or even what she would say.
"I''m sorry for you, but I really want to be with you still." With sorrow in his eyes, Lewis raised his hand
and tried to touch Sheryl''s face.
Sheryl instinctively stepped back to avoid him.
"I have something to do. I have to go now." Sheryl nced at Lewis indifferently before she turned and
entered the building.
She thought if she ignored him, Lewis would give up, but she was wrong. Lewis didn''t give up and
caught up with her before suddenly grabbing her from behind and holding her in his arms.
"Sheryl, will you be my woman?" Lewis hugged Sheryl tightly and was afraid that she would push him
away.
"Lewis, let me go. Don''t make me hate you." Sheryl summoned all her strength and tried to push Lewis
away, but she couldn''t.
The words "hate you" made Lewis sober up a bit.
He shook his head immediately and let Sheryl go. Then he looked at Sheryl in embarrassment and
gave her an apologetic smile, saying, "I''m sorry. I... I''m drunk and that was stupid of me."
"Forget it, just go back home now--I have to work." Without looking at Lewis, Sheryl turned to leave.
If Lewis wasn''t drunk, Sheryl would probably have pped him through the face.
She straightened her clothes and went upstairs.
Lewis didn''t chase her this time, but still watched nkly from behind her as she left. There was a sad
smile on his face.

''Sheryl, why won''t you give me a chance?'' he wondered to himself.
The next day things carried on.
In the hospital, Le went to Charles'' room early in the morning.
"Charles, would you like to eat some fruit? I''ll peel an orange for you to eat, okay?" Le stood in front
of Charles, attentively as usual, but Charles didn''t even nce at her.
Charles turned a deaf ear to Le''s question, which aimed to please him on purpose, and just stared at
the tablet in his hands as if there was nobody around him.
Le held no grudge against Charles but hated Sheryl more because of the way he was acting. She
asked herself, ''I have done more for Charles than Sheryl, so why is only Sheryl in his heart?''
She thought it over, but couldn''t understand it, so she believed that it was all Sheryl''s fault.
"Charles, are you thirsty?" Le restrained the grievance in her eyes and turned to look at Charles
expectantly.
Charles heard that Le spoke again, and he nced at her. Then he just shook his head
expressionlessly. "No."
"You need to eat something. All this food was cooked by Nancy, after all," Le said to Charles with a
smile.
She thought to herself, ''You have to eat something for Nancy''s sake, at least.''
Charles pushed the food away and frowned. "I am not hungry, so just leave it here."
"I will peel an apple for you." Le seemed unable to understand how Charles was feeling and just tried
to be nice to him. She believed that he would be moved by her kindness sooner orter.
"I''m fine. You should just go home now," Charles said as he looked at Le with a serious expression.
He was trying to give her a hint that she should be sensible and leave.
"Charles, I worry about you. I want to stay and look after you." Le was also straightforward and spoke
her feelings for Charles to hear regardless of anything else.
"No need. The nurses will look after me." Charles was still emotionless, despite hearing a woman
expressing her feelings for him.
"Aunt Melissa told me toe here, though. If I leave, she will get mad." Le had no choice but to
mention Melissa because she didn''t want to be kicked out.
"I will tell my mother that I asked you to leave." Charles looked at Le without any demur, which
stopped her from protesting more.
Le could do nothing but lower her head, pretending to feel wronged.
"I am not thirsty or hungry, I just need to rest now." Seeing that she was trying to manipte him,
Charles made his displeasure obvious.
Le finally raised her head and nodded at Charles, with a forced smile. "Hmm, you get some rest
then. I will stay outside, so if you need anything, just call me."
Charles didn''t even raise his head and responded to her with only silence.
Le was saddened that he had given her the cold shoulder in reply to her enthusiasm.
In the neighborhood where Sheryl lived, Sheryl was speaking to her kids.
"rk, take good care of your sister. Mommy is going to the hospital to visit Daddy, so I can''t drive you
to kindergarten today." Sheryl was sorry that she couldn''t spend more time with her kids.
rk nodded obediently. "Mommy, don''t worry; I will take care of my sister. You need to look after
yourself and help Daddy recover soon. Then, we will get to go out and have fun."
"That''s right!"
Sheryl smiled and watched Joan take the kids to the kindergarten. Then, she went to the hospital.
She hadn''t expected that somebody else had arrived even earlier than her.
When Sheryl went to push the door, Le opened it, and they bumped into each other.
"Sher, you''re finally here." Charles noticed someone at the door and raised his head to see Sheryl.
Suddenly, there was affection in his eyes.
Sheryl nced at Le and didn''t say anything. She walked around Le expressionlessly and entered
the room.
"Hmm. How are you feeling today?" While speaking, Sheryl walked to Charles''s side with a smile and
put the stuff she had brought on the table.
Le saw all of this as she stood in the doorway.
Just now, when Charles had spoken to Le, he had worn a long face; but, when he saw Sheryl, there
was a happy expression on his face, and he had love in his eyes. Unfortunately, the woman in front of
him was not Le.
Le walked out of the room in a rage.
Soon after, Le returned to Dream Garden.
