Chapter 1658 What Else Do You Want
Sheryl was moved. She knew that what Charles had said was enough to show that she was the most
important person to him.
"You just need to rest for now. You need your health back. I don''t want you to worry about anything
else." Sheryl just wanted Charles to rest so she changed the topic.
Meanwhile, Sheryl couldn''t help but worry about what Charles had just said.
Would she and Charles have a future?
As she thought this over, a bitter smile appeared on her face.
Charles saw this so he asked in confusion, "Sher, what''s wrong?"
"Nothing. I''m just thinking about all that''s happened." As Sheryl spoke, there was a deep sadness in
her eyes.
She didn''t want to make things weird between her and Charles, so she didn''t finish what she was going
to say. She just wanted to move on from the past. The very least she could do was stay with Charles
and talk with him—that was more than enough for her.
"Sher, you''re keeping something from me. I''m your husband, and you can tell me anything. You can
trust me. I''ll listen to you," Charles said.
"I know..." Sheryl was touched, but she couldn''t say anything. She lowered her head to conceal the
tears in her eyes.
Her mind was racing. She was thinking of so many people and things. One of them was Le. She
couldn''t believe how many terrible things Le had done. Now that Charles had woken up, she wanted
to tell him everything, but she decided against it.
Charles was just recovering. If she suddenly told him everything, it might set back his progress. If
Sheryl exposed Le, Melissa would definitely make a big deal out of it. Sheryl just didn''t want Charles
to go through that.
She also couldn''t keep her mind off Lewis.
Even though Lewis had stopped already, it didn''t mean that the media had stopped spreading the
stories too. She also didn''t want to keep any of that from Charles.
"Charles, there''s something I have to tell you." Then Sheryl told him everything that Lewis had done
and said to her. As she spoke, her voice was low and serious. By the time she had finished, she was
pale as a sheet.
"Sher, what''s the matter with you?" Charles noticed the change in Sheryl''s demeanor. He reached out
for her hand and grabbed it.
She trembled the minute Charles touched her hand.
"Ah, I''m fine," Sheryl said, forcing a smile.
Charles didn''t press further when he saw that Sheryl didn''t want to talk about it anymore.
"All right, it''s great that you''re fine." He didn''t ask anymore, but he was suspicious. ''Did something
terrible happen when I was in aa?''
Sheryl lowered her head and continued to peel the apple. However, she couldn''t keep Ferry off her
mind, and it bothered her to no end.
"Charles, look, I''ve brought you some food to eat." Suddenly, they heard Melissa''s voice.
Sheryl raised her head and looked at the door. Not only was Melissa at the door, but she had also
brought Le with her.
As soon as she saw Le, her expression changed and she suddenly turned livid.
Charles saw this. He knew that it was because of Le. He frowned and barked, "Get out!"
"Charles, what''s wrong with you?" Le was so excited to see Charles, and she couldn''t believe that
this was how he was going to respond to her visiting. It was unbelievable.

"Get out. Don''t make me repeat myself," Charles responded coldly.
"Le, go and buy some food," Melissa soothed, winking at Le.
She figured that Sheryl had probably said something about Le. Why else would Charles be so angry
at seeing Le?
Le nced at Melissa just as she winked at her. So she said hesitantly, "Okay, Aunt Melissa. I''m
leaving."
As Le left, she turned to look at Sheryl through the ss window of the door. With a dark look on her
face, she thought, ''Sheryl, I''m going to make you pay for the humiliation you made me suffer today.''
Le left the hospital grudgingly.
In the ward, Melissa smiled at Charles. "Charles, eat something. These are all your favorites, and
Nancy prepared them for you.
Right. Charles, don''t be mad. I thought you were hungry?" Sheryl helped Melissa put the food on the
small table and pushed it to Charles.
He rxed a little when he saw all the food.
When Charles started eating, Melissa thought of something. She figured she would make Sheryl leave
the room. All she needed was a good excuse.
It didn''t take long for Melissa toe up with something. She coughed a few times and then said,
"Now that Charles is awake, maybe it''s time for the kids to see him?"
Upon hearing this, Sheryl and Charles raised their heads and looked at Melissa.
"Yes, Sher. I really do miss the kids," Charles said to Sheryl.
Sheryl lowered her head to check her watch. Then she smiled and nodded. "Hmm, it''s almost time to
pick up the kids. I''ll go to the school."
Sheryl nted a kiss on Charles''s forehead and then left the ward.
Then she headed to the school.
As soon as Sheryl left, Melissa put on her best face and took care of Charles.
She eyed him carefully, making sure that his mood had lightened up, and he wasn''t angry anymore.
Only then did she say, "Did someone tell you anything? Is that why you treated Le like that?"
"Mother, I don''t want to talk about her right now." Charles frowned and angrily put his fork down. He
looked at Melissa and saw that she looked confused. Then he continued, "I don''t like Le. You always
knew that. It''s fine that you let her stay with you, but what happened to me thest time I was drunk
caused problems between me and Sheryl. Sheryl wasn''t happy when she saw Le, and I''m not
exactly fully recovered yet. I didn''t ask Le to leave just because of you. What else do you want to
know?"
Charles said this all in one breath because he wanted Melissa to let it go already.
However, Melissa only grew angrier. She stood up and said with a scowl, "Charles, what on earth did
Sheryl tell you which made you hate Le this much? You don''t know what that woman''s been doing
these past few days while you were in aa. Do you have any idea where I''d be if it weren''t for
Le?"
Melissa knew that she had no choice but to stand by Le. If she conceded, it would only make Sheryl
happy.
