Chapter 1596 Evidence
"Sheryl?" Melissa looked at Le and asked. She looked at the cell phone in disbelief as her eyes
widened in surprise.
A photo of Sheryl hugging a man inside a shopping mall was disyed on the screen.
"Did you see this happen in person?" Melissa raised her voice and asked Le again, as she was
unable to believe what she was seeing.
Le nodded her head in affirmation and said, "Aunt Melissa, it''s true. I can''t believe Sheryl would do
such a thing to shame the family. She''s still married to Charles, but she''s seeing another man too! Her
behavior brings so much humiliation to Charles and the Lu family! What will people think of us?"
Le was getting herself worked up and adding fuel to the fire.
Her reaction affected Melissa as well. She became furious and yelled, "Sheryl is such a whore! No
wonder she wants to get a divorce. She is actually in love with another man!"
Le had taken a lot of pictures and she showed them all to Melissa one by one.
The more pictures Melissa saw, the angrier she became. She was annoyed and asked Le to take the
cell phone away from her. She was too angry to even catch her breath.
"Aunt Melissa, there''s no need to be angry over such a woman. It isn''t worth it." With a concerned look,
Le patted Melissa''s shoulder in an attempt to calm her down.
Melissa was still angry at what Sheryl had done, but she finally managed topose herself in time.
"What exactly does Sheryl want to do? She is the one who brought up the idea of divorce. I bet that it''s
because of that man in the photo! Now, she''s prolonging the situation just to step in your way. She must
want our family''s assets. I can''t just let her win!" Melissa fumed, going straight to the point.
Le wouldn''t let Sheryl take away half of the family assets either. Lu family''s fortune was supposed to
be hers. How could she let Sheryl take all that from her?
"Aunt Melissa, I agreepletely, but we don''t have time to be angry. We need toe up with a
solution." Le just wished to make a huge scene out of this.
On her way back, she had grown even more determined to beat Sheryl and teach her a lesson.
She wanted to take everything Sheryl had taken from her, but she failed each time she tried. Now that
such a good opportunity had presented itself to her, Le needed to make good use of it.
She felt that she was blessed to be given such a chance and was confident she would seed this
time. She couldn''t afford another failure.
"You''re right, Le. We shoulde up with a n against her." Melissa stared at Le nkly, hoping
thetter could give her some advice.
Her mind was still muddled at the pictures. She couldn''t think of anything because of the overwhelming
feelings of rage and panic that flooded her.
Le took out her cell phone again. She pointed her finger at the pictures and said to Melissa, "Aunt
Melissa, we can make use of these pictures. We can easily defeat Sheryl with these as proof."
Melissa''s eyes lit up at Le''s words. She looked at Le with hope, waiting for her to exin further.

Le smiled before she said, "We need to exaggerate the situation."
She drew closer to Melissa and whispered in her ear, rifying her n. Melissa''s worried look
gradually turned smug as she listened to Le.
After Le finished speaking, Melissa couldn''t help but giggle and said, "That''s brilliant, Le. How
would I live without you?"
Le smiled at Melissa. She grabbed Melissa''s hand and said, "Aunt Melissa, you''re like a mother to
me. Charles is the other one I love the most, so I won''t let anything happen to you two."
"I feel so relieved that we can follow your n, Le. I can''t wait to see Sheryl lose!" Melissa grinned
from ear to ear as she thought about how aggravating the situation would be for Sheryl.
She hated Sheryl and the picture made her hatred grow even stronger. Sheryl was still the wife of
Shining Company''s CEO, so even if she cared nothing for her reputation, she still needed to take the
would surely plummet. It would do no good to the Lu family.
Melissa was always worried and anxious when it came to money.
Although Le''s n could put Shining Company in a risky situation, as long as it made Sheryl leave
Charles forever, Melissa was willing to take the risk.
Melissa would do anything, no matter how wicked, as long as it made Sheryl disappear.
Nancy, who was in the kitchen, saw Melissa and Le whispering to each other in the living room and
became worried. She had a bad feeling, but there was nothing she could do about it, so she prayed
that what they were plotting about had nothing to do with Sheryl.
That night, I went back home. Chilly wind blew on Sheryl''s face as she walked down the street
alone.
An hour ago, Aron hade to pick I up, saying that there was a ss reunion and that he wanted
I to go with him. I wanted to stay with Sheryl, but Sheryl declined the offer.
"I''m not a child. I won''t hide from everybody and act sullen. Go with Aron and have a good time. I''m
okay." Sheryl didn''t seem to be affected by Ferry any longer. She was as happy as she had been that
morning.
"Really?" I asked again, afraid that Sheryl was hiding her true feelings.
"Yes! Alright, go into the car now. Aron is waiting for you and I''ll get back home very soon." After I
left, Sheryl looked around the empty office and found that she felt very upset.
Now that things hade to such a head, Sheryl could do nothing to improve the situation and had no
control over it.
She decided to call Charles.
Seeing that it was Sheryl calling him, Charles answered the call immediately.
"Sher!" Charles said excitedly, thinking that Sheryl had changed her mind.
Sheryl ignored his warm greeting and said coldly, "Have you made a decision yet? You''re just wasting
our time if not. When will you sign the divorce agreement?"
"That''s what you are calling me for?" Charles'' excitement turned into coldness when he heard Sheryl.
He soundedpletely different from how he had sounded a few seconds ago.
"Is there another reason I would call you? I''m done with you." Tears kept dripping silently down Sheryl''s
cheeks as she spoke. She tried her best to sound calm because she didn''t want to let Charles know
that she was crying.
"Fine then, Sheryl. We''ll get a divorce, but the kids have to stay with me. I won''t let them live with
another man!" Charles said firmly in anger.
Sheryl didn''t care what Charles said. All she wanted was a divorce.
"You can rest assured that I won''t date any other men after I divorce you. We can sign a contract that
the kids will never change their surname, so what you are worrying about won''t happen. Just sign the
damn agreement already!" Sheryl knew that Charles was prolonging things on purpose. She knew him
so well and was aware that he wouldn''t keep on insisting after she said those words.
"Fine, I will sign the agreement, if that''s what you really want." Charles hung up quickly.
''If that''s what I want? Isn''t that what you really want too, Charles?''
Sheryl thought to herself as she looked down at her phone, feeling upset and desperate. The busy tone
on the other end of the line sounded extremely harsh to Sheryl.
''Charles, are you thinking the same as me? I don''t want to give up on our marriage. Is that the reason
why you are prolonging it?'' Sheryl sighed, put her cell phone back to her purse, and walked out of the
office.
The wind blew on Sheryl''s face and helped clear her head. She took the elevator and went to the
underground parking lot.
As she walked to her car, another one almost hit her. Someone beeped the horn at her in annoyance.
Sheryl wondered if it was because she was not paying attention, or if the person was doing it on
purpose.
