Chapter 1587 Have Fun

    Chapter 1587 Have Fun

I didn''t try to stop Sheryl because she knew that Sheryl needed to vent her sadness. She patted

Sheryl''s back as thetter cried in her arms. Slowly, she stopped crying.

Walking Sheryl to a chair to help her sit down, I asked her urgently, "Tell me what happened. What

the hell is going on to make you cry like that? I''m so worried about you! Did someone hurt you?"

Although Sheryl had stopped crying, she was still sniveling. With disorganized thoughts, she told I

    about what happened today.

"What? Did you really go to the Bureau of Civil Affairs with Charles for divorce proceedings today? Why

didn''t you tell me? Have you really decided to divorce him? And are you really so afraid of that man,

Ferry? Why don''t you just tell Charles about it and let him help you?" I asked, stupefied. She really

didn''t want to see a devoted couple like Sheryl and Charles get separated. Even though there were

many misunderstandings between them, Charles remained Sheryl''s dearest lover. I didn''t want them

to regret their divorce in the future.

Sheryl shook her head and sighed. "I have already considered that solution. But I don''t think Charles

and I can continue to be together, even without Ferry. I just can''t turn a blind eye to Le. She has

already taken my ce in Dream Garden. Sooner orter, the two of them will get together."

Seeing how distressed Sheryl was, I had a sudden urge to go and find Le to give her an earful.

I had no choice but to continueforting Sheryl. After some time, Sheryl felt much better.

She had stopped crying, but she still felt heartbroken.

Phoebe knocked on the door and brought them some water. Sheryl calmed down after she took a sip of

it. She heaved a deep sigh and said, "Don''t worry. I didn''t cry because of the break up with Charles, but

because of his attempt to take my kids away from me."

Even though she sounded like she was telling the truth, I knew that she was lying. She knew Sheryl

well enough to understand that breaking up with Charles had indeed been a big blow to her heart. Still,

I didn''t want to expose her lie.

Seeing that I believed her words, Sheryl felt a little relieved. Thest thing she wanted was for

someone to know how deeply hurt she was.

"That''s good. I''m d that you''re able to recover from it. How about we go shopping? A bit of

distraction would help," I proposed. She knew that when a woman was sad, nothing was more

    exciting than going out shopping.

After all, shopping could make people happy. Most found it therapeutic.

Since Sheryl knew that she couldn''t work at all under such circumstances, she agreed. Soon, both I

and Sheryl stepped out of thepany.

Their first stop was, of course, the shopping mall. It had numerous fancy and gorgeous clothes.

They shopped around the entire afternoon until they were exhausted and couldn''t walk anymore. They

bought too many things, to the point that they stuffed every corner of their car.

When night came, Sheryl drove to pick up the kids.

Shirley saw Sheryl and I from far away and came skipping toward them to wee them joyfully.

"Mom! Aunt I!" she called out as she ran. She was such an innocent and adorable angel. Anyone

who saw her would want to touch her chubby cheeks.

"Shirley, sweetie, did you miss me?" I squatted down to pull Shirley in her arms, a full smile beaming

    on her face.

Sheryl approached rk and touched his head. "Dear, how was your day?" she asked, smiling.

"Not bad. Much better than yours. Mom, what''s wrong with your face? Did you cry today? Did Dad

make you cry?" rk asked, doubts clouding his eyes. He reached out to take Sheryl''s hand and

promised like a brave gentleman, "Mom, I''m growing up now. I can protect you."

Sheryl felt touched by his warm words. Even though he was still a kid, he was promising to protect her.

Suddenly, she felt relieved. She cast aside all her worries, sadness and Charles.

"Thank you, dear," Sheryl replied and kissed rk on his right cheek.

Sheryl decided to take the kids to a western restaurant for dinner and I tagged along.

She initially wanted to invite Aron to join them, but I stopped her.

"Don''t! The nanny asked for a leave tonight, so Aron is supposed to take care of our daughter at home.

If you invite him, he''ll be bringing the naughty girl along. You know something? She almost drove me

crazy these past few days! Don''t let her spoil my perfect night!" Iined as if her daughter was

    a devil in disguise.

But Sheryl could understand her. Babies could be annoying when they were small. Still, their parents

loved them more than anything else in the world. However, their silliness could also drive their parents

up the wall sometimes. I was a woman who lived an unconstrained life. Therefore, her kid was both

her source of happiness and a sweet burden.

"Listen to you now! Your daughter would feel so bad if she were here! Moreover, you''ll regret not

spending enough time with her when she marries someone in the future," Sheryl teased I.

"I really hope that she can grow up and marry someone as soon as possible, so she won''t test my

patience every day!" I said, bursting into chuckles.

Shirley looked at her with a confused expression. "Aunt I, don''t you want your kid to stay with you

    forever?"

After hearing her innocent question, Sheryl and I couldn''t help but look at each other with

    astonishment beforeughing loudly.

Neither of them answered Shirley. They asked her to enjoy her meal.

Soon enough the four of them had finished eating. The kids suggested that they see a movie, and

considering that the next day was a Saturday, Sheryl agreed.

Feeling excited, I also insisted on joining them, instead of going straight home. Sheryl suddenly felt

that she was taking three children to the cinema, instead of just two.

Sheryl had no choice but to agree. She led them to the cinema, choosing a cartoon movie which was

    two hours long.

She felt like it had been a century since shest saw a movie. Such kind of entertainment hadn''t been

a part of her life for so long.

Many of her memories flooded back, reminding her of how happy her life with Charles was back then.

Suddenly, fatigue overcame her, so she asked I to watch the kids for her, while she went to the

resting area. There, she came across Lewis unexpectedly.

Lewis was surprised too. He didn''t expect to see Sheryl here too. When their eyes met, neither of them

said a word. They simply nodded at each other and smiled politely.

Suddenly, a woman popped up out of nowhere. Striding toward Lewis, she quickly took his arm

intimately, ncing at Sheryl from head to toe.

Sheryl felt a little offended to be sized up by this unfriendly woman. She said politely, "Have a good

    night."

Lewis seemed to want to tell Sheryl something, but before he could utter a word, the woman by his side

    dragged him away.

"Do you like her?" she asked Lewis, loud enough for Sheryl to hear.

Sheryl almost stumbled as she heard what the woman asked. She didn''t dare to stay there and listen to

Lewis'' reply, so she sped up and left as soon as possible.

Sheryl went straight to the toilet. Luckily, Lewis and the woman had left already by the time she was

    done.

Feeling relieved, Sheryl then proceeded to the resting area. She didn''t remember when she fell asleep

in the cozy chair. When I and the kids found her, two hours had already passed.

She didn''t have a good night''s sleep the night before because thoughts of Charles had filled up her

head. No wonder she felt so sleepy tonight.

"Mom, you look tired. Didn''t you sleep wellst night?" rk asked with deep concern when he saw his

mother''s weary face. He was so worried about his mother that he couldn''t help but reach out to take

Sheryl''s hand. They all left the cinema immediately afterward.
