Chapter 1555 Moving In

    Chapter 1555 Moving In

They went to a restaurant near I''s house. Once they found a table, I called Aron as they waited

    for their food.

When I got off the phone, Sheryl asked I whether Aron was still working or not, so they could ask

him to join them for dinner.

"Well, don''t mind him. He''s been very busy these days. Let''s just have dinner on our own. He will be

fine," I said and sat down. After a long day at work, she felt so hungry that she could eat everything

    on that table by herself.

They finished their scrumptious dinner very quickly. After they dropped Phoebe off, I drove Shirley

and the kids to her home.

When they got inside, Sheryl noticed that not only Aron wasn''t home, but also their child weren''t there,

so she looked at I in confusion. I rubbed her head and smiled. "Aron and I have been pretty busy

these days, so I asked my mom to babysit the child for a while. And Aron just told me that he needed to

work overtime tonight and would being homete, so it''s just you and me tonight. Let''s party

    tonight and have some fun!"

I chuckled and Sheryl was amused by herughter.

"You really don''t look like a married woman, I. Sometimes you act like a child!" All of a sudden, a

thought entered Sheryl''s mind. She had read something on a website, and it stuck with her. It went like

this: if a woman acted more like a child after she got married, it meant that her husband loved her so

much that he didn''t mind treating her like a child. He cared for her so much that he would tolerate all

    her childish behavior.

Having realized how happy and lucky I was, Sheryl couldn''t help but think about her own marriage.

After she got married to Charles, Sheryl became tougher as the years went by. Sheryl was tired of

everything and she didn''t want to know whether it was Charles'' fault or hers.

It was already quitete when they finished dinner. Sheryl tucked the children in after she helped them

wash their faces and brush their teeth.

Sheryl told the children a bedtime story, but they felt asleep in the middle of it. Before she walked out of

the bedroom, Sheryl gave them each a kiss on the forehead.

When Sheryl walked out of the bedroom, she saw I drinking wine in the living room. Sheryl sat next

to her, grabbed her ss and drank it all down in one gulp.

"You can''t enjoy this by yourself," Sheryl said and poured herself another ss of wine.

But this time I grabbed her ss and stopped Sheryl. I felt sorry for Sheryl and said, "Sher, I am

sorry for you, really. I think the reason why your marriage with Charles fell apart is because of Melissa

and Le. You can''t give in and let them win. You need to fight back!"

The more I spoke, the angrier she became, but Sheryl didn''t care to fight anymore. Sheryl knew that

Melissa didn''t like her and Le got her in trouble on purpose, but they would never achieve what they

had done without Charles'' consent. Sheryl was upset and disappointed that Charles would not stand

up for her and he had been too nice and let people take advantage of his generosity. Sheryl was

"Listen, I, I am fine. I just want to have a ss of wine." Sheryl pretended as if she didn''t care at all

and lied to I. Instead, she took a sip of wine, in an attempt to ease I''s worries.

But I knew that Sheryl was hiding her sorrow. Although I really wanted Sheryl to cry about it and

let all her emotions out, she didn''t want to and couldn''t force Sheryl to do things that she didn''t want to

do. So I poured herself a ss of wine too and said, "Okay then, let me join you!" They drank as

they talked about the times they had spent together. All of a sudden, they felt like time had gone back

to those happy old days and had stopped there.

But time stopped for no one.

The next day, rays of sunshine came in through the window and rested on Sheryl. Before long, Sheryl

woke up, rubbing her forehead in pain. She had a little headache and she opened her eyes slowly. It

was already eight in the morning.

Sheryl got up immediately and put on her clothes when she saw the time, afraid that the kids would be

and Shirley were already having breakfast.

Sheryl and I almost walked out of the door at the same time.

They looked at each other with embarrassment.

"Mom, Aunt I,e and have breakfast. We''re going to bete!" rk said to Sheryl and I calmly

before he passed a piece of bread to Shirley. He said to Shirley gently, "Shirley, you are so skinny. You

    should eat more."

Listening to rk, Sheryl and I felt like they were the children who needed to be taken care of. They

    exchanged nces and chuckled.

rk had prepared breakfast. Although it was simple, Sheryl was really impressed by her son. Back at

the Lu family''s house, it was Nancy who took care of their meals. Sheryl never expected that rk

would be able to cook for himself at this age.

rk had always been a considerate and sensitive child. Now he could not only take care of his sister,

    but also his mother.

Sheryl stroked rk''s head affectionately. She felt blessed to have a son like rk.

"Mom, hurry up! Eat your breakfast. Shirley and I are going to bete! I''m serious!"

    "Okay, okay, I know!"

Sheryl was amused at rk''s words.

After she dropped the children off, Sheryl went to sign a contract with I.

Thendlord was a forty-year-old woman. Fortunately, she was very nice and friendly.

"Although this house is pre-owned, I haven''t lived in here for too long. I am selling it because I am

going abroad. I really hope that you will love and cherish it." Thendlord knew how to enjoy life and it

was clear that she had high standards, which was evident from the apartment''s decor.

"Thank you, Whitney. I do love this house!"

After seeing Whitney and the realtor off, Sheryl and I checked the apartment again.

They didn''t find anything wrong with the decorations. All they needed was some new furniture.

Whitney had moved all the furniture out before she gave the keys to Sheryl. Whitney was thinking

about leaving the furniture to Sheryl, but Sheryl wanted something new. It was a new start for her life.

So Whitney sold her furniture to a secondhand market.

The first thing Sheryl needed to do now was buy some furniture and clean the house.

She bought something that would match the decorations in the house.

After a half day of work, Sheryl and I finished cleaning up the house. They sat on the sofa,

    had finally paid off.

When they installed the new furniture, Sheryl asked someone to remove the formaldehyde so that she

and the children could move in right away.

"Sher, you owe me dinner, honestly. Look what I have done for you! I''m the general manager of the

Cloud Advertising Company. And here I am, moving furniture and doing manualbor for you!" I

feigned fatigue and ined" to Sheryl.

Sheryl was so exhausted that she almost fell asleep. She shifted and found herself afortable

position. Before she drifted off, Sheryl said to I, "Sure, you deserve that. Invite Aron toe over

tonight. Let''s have dinner together. My treat!" Sheryl felt asleep after she finished her words, so did I.

A call woke Sheryl and I up. They had been sleeping for almost two hours and were feeling well

    rested.

Sheryl had hired a babysitter to look after the kids while she was gone. The babysitter showed up at

the appointed time and knocked on the door several times, but when no one responded she decided to

    call Sheryl''s phone.

Nancy was the one who introduced this babysitter to Sheryl. The babysitter was Nancy''s friend, so

Sheryl didn''t doubt herpetency for the job.
