A few minutes earlier, after Elliot got the Ascendant Rune from Jessica Sands.
“Excellent! Excellent indeed!” Gilgamar couldn’t help but praise the deconstructed Ascendant Rune profusely.
“This is a whole new method of energy application, one that stretches the full flexibility of your Cosmic Dragon Energy, as well as one that wrings everyst drop of power from it! This is perfection! I have never seen such a powerful rune! Excellent! Excellent!!”
Gilgamar simple couldn’t stop praising the Ascendant Rune!
It was very natural, of course.
From the moment Elliot got his Darklight Energy and started using it to power his Broken Dragon Sword Technique, Gilgamar knew that he was like a little SUVcity car with an economic 1.5 Liter Engine that was being powered by a Form 1, 15th Generation Super High Octane Petrol.
His 1.5 Liter Engine was pushed to its maximum, and produced a power output that was way beyond what he could imagine.
It even allowed a mere King to easily kill Hegemons! It was like allowing the 1.5 Liter Engine to race and win easily against V10 Supercars on standard petrol!
A 1.5 Liter city car, with its cheap, mass-produceddder chassis, cheap torsion-bars suspension, cheap tromol brakes, cheap everything,pletely outspeeding a V10 racing-grade set up supercar with their tubr chassis, air-suspension system and ceramic brakes!
But now with the Ascendant Runes, it was as though the Form 1, 15th Generation Super High Octane Petrol finally found a 15th Generatio Form 1 Race Car to be paired with!
“What an ingenious way to foundationally manipte life and death energy. This way, your Cosmic Dragon Energy exhibits the strengths of both life and death energy, while severely limiting its vulnerabilities.” Gilgamar thought aloud as he gave a runningmentary of what Elliot was doing with the Ascendant Rune.
He had finally stopped scratching his itchy butt while studying the rune, and had started to take action against Ancient Mayat.
“And this offensive sequence! I have no idea that life energy could be so destructive! Not even death energy can produce destruction on such a scale! This is- okay. I stand corrected. This death energy offensive sequence is just as deadly. Amazing! Amazing!!”
Elliot’s heart pounded heavily as he slowly but surely circted his Cosmic Dragon Energy ording to the patterns required by the “Energy Bombard” spell.
Jessica Sands had marked the spell with ring symbols which clearly said “try this basic spell first to familiarize yourself with how the Ascendant Rune System works.”
Elliot had obeyed, of course.
He was in uncharted territory, and Jessica’s notes were all he had to guide him along. He definitely didn’t want to end up imploding!
As soon as he tried out the beginning Energy Bombard spell, he knew for a fact that he could defeat Ancient Mayat and her Ancient Grade cronies.
He felt as though he was being guided by a Master Artist’s hands as he meticulously drew a portrait. Comparing what he was doing at that moment to what he usually did was likeparing Picasso drawing his masterpiece with a toddler drawing a stick man. A badly drawn stick man.
There was absolutely no need topare.
His troubled heart instantly turned joyful, and he couldn’t help but grin at Gilgamar’s uncharacteristically long winded words.
“You do realize that I am merely using a basic spell called Energy Bombard, right? I took a peek earlier and saw a very advanced spell called Red Dragon Fury. It appears to be a hundred times stronger than the Energy Bombard.” Elliot said to Gilgamar with a happy smile.
“Of course. Such a powerful method of energy maniption opens up countless more sword techniquespared to the rest of the known universe. Now that you have the Ascendant Runes, learning Tyrius’ Broken Dragon ispletely unrequired. There is no point. In fact, you might need to unlearn everything, and focus on the techniques based on the Ascendant Runes!” Gilgamar sighed deeply.
It wasn’t easying to that conclusion. The Broken Dragon was, afterall, a very sentimental creation that was connected to him on the deepest levels.
But there was no doubting the difference between a small city car and an F1 race car.
It would be folly to the highest level if one insisted on entering crucial, life and death races with a small city car when one had ess to an F1.
“I understand.” Elliot said solemnly. “I wouldn’t have made it this far without The Broken Dragon and its first few stages. Once we are out of the emergency, I would definitely still master The Broken Dragon to perfection. It will be me doing my part to maintain the Legacy of Tyrius.”
“I… Thank you, Elliot.” Gilgamar said emotionally.
Elliot merely nodded and patted Gilgamar affectionately, and then focused onpleting the Energy Bombard spell.
Before him, Ancient Mayat had detected his horrific aura seeping out of even his Ring of Absolute Strength, and had immediately taken on a full defensive stance.
Pointless.
In his fight against Ancient Mayat, Elliot had merely stepped into the F1 car’s driver’s seat, turned on the ignition, and mmed the elerator down.
There was no finesse, no skill, just pure horsepower flinging the F1 car down the straightway and past the finish line.
ck and white energy containing the purest offensive form of Cosmic Dragon Energy sted out towards her, and mmed against the 13yered shield with devastating force!

Within seconds, the first shield gave way,pletely unable to maintain any semblence of structural integrity before the unparalleled might of the Energy Bombard!

Within a minute, all thirteen shields broke apart.
Ancient Mayat was a rich Ancient, and she had countless hyper powerful trinkets which she immediately used without a single shred of reservation.
But they didn’tst very long either.
Crack!!
Her final treasure disintegrated.
“NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” Ancient Mayat let out a blood curdling scream which traveled the width and breadth of the entire in an instant before she finally sumbed to the destructive power of the Energy Bombard!
B.O.O.O.M!!!
