Chapter 1530 School
New Year had just passed in the Human Realm. The sun was shining brightly as the new year rolled
by.
Spring had arrived earlier than usual this year. The umted snow in Clodston gradually melted
into puddles and evaporated, causing the air to turn rather humid. Nheless, the trees by the
roadside looked lush as they sprouted new buds.
A young girl with a backpack was stuffing a bun in her mouth as she ran out the door.
"Grandma! I''m off to school! I''m going to bete! Oh, no. I hope I won''t bete!"
Another girl grabbed her hand and dragged her along, saying nonchntly, "Let''s go! Don''t worry. I
have tons of experience beingte! If you get to the ssroom and find that the teacher is already
there, just sneak in through the back door! When the teacher turns to face the ckboard, you can
slide in. If the teacher notices you before you get to your seat, just say you want to go to the bathroom!"
Bettany chased them out of the house with a pan in her hand, shouting sternly, "Hannah Crawford!
What nonsense are you filling your sister''s head with?!"
The two girls'' faces changed as they fled from the demon chasing after them.
They couldn''t help but burst into giggles after running away. Nheless, they didn''t waste a second
squirreling into the car.
Edward shifted gears, causing the engine to roar. "Don''t worry! You won''t bete as long as I''m here!"
The car roared and shot out like an arrow off its string.
Bettany had her hands on her hips as she glowered. "Oh, those two. Do they really think I''ve lost the
skill to swing a pan around because of my hip?!"
Hugh felt particrly refreshed after his morning exercise, replying candidly, "I think you''re just
worrying for nothing! Lilly can finally go to school like normal girls her age. She''s never beente
before. So, what''s the big deal if she experiences it once in her life? Still, that does sound like it has
Hannah''s prints all over. Of course, there''s nothing wrong with that. Back in my day—"
Bang!
The pan promptly hit Hugh on the head.
Hugh wisely bit his tongue and fell silent.
He rubbed his head in response as he blinked at her innocently. It doesn''t hurt. God knows how many
times I''ve been on the receiving end of the pan! Fortunately, I eventually developed an iron skull
because of her habit.
…
The shy sports car roared to a stop at the school gate. Hannah immediately dragged Lilly through the
school gate before they could get written up.
s, the bell rang as soon as they stepped foot into the school.
Hannah said in dismay, "We''re really done for this time! My homeroom teacher is a strict disciplinarian.
Lilly, I''ll see youter!"
Hannah was in high school while Lilly was still in junior high. So, she couldn''t afford to dawdle as she
darted to the opposite building.
"Lilly, remember what I taught you! Don''t panic! Stay calm! Good luck on your first day!"
Although Hannah''s figure had long disappeared from her line of sight, her voice still echoed through
half the school.
Lilly chuckled, muttering to herself, "Hannah, have you forgotten who I am? Maybe I wouldn''t have to
use your tricks!"
Although she was power-walking toward her ssroom, she vanished the minute there wasn''t anyone
around, and she was in a blind spot of the cameras.
A few students in Grade 9 ss 3 whispered, "Hey, do you know the new student? She was absolutely
amazing this morning."
"She arrives in a luxury car every day. She probably thinks it''s not shy enough. So, she decided to
"I hate those who love to show off just because they have some money at home!"
The homeroom teacher walked in with her high heels cking against the ground. Then, she tossed
her notebook on the desk, effectively silencing the chattering students!
"Our ss has gotten our points deducted this week. Your exams are fast approaching! So, why are
you all still cking off?! Those who werete had better stand up before I say your names!"
She crossed her arms as she felt her temper rising. "You''re all getting far toox with your education.
Don''t you want to go to high school? Your parents work hard to earn money for your education. Is this
how you repay them?!"
The innocent students could only stare at her dumbly.
They didn''t know what to say. They were already frustrated at being forced to wake up early just to
make it to school on time. Now, they were getting reprimanded for something they didn''t even do!
It had only been a week since school started. Frankly, most of them were still rather antsy. Besides,
there was still half a year until their midterms.
"Miss! Lilly Crawford iste!" A student raised his hand and said loudly, "Everyone in our ss behaved
well today. Only Lilly Crawford iste to ss today!"
The homeroom teacher looked angrily at the seat near the back wall.
Just as she was about to explode, an innocent-looking head popped up. "Miss, I''m notte. I was just
tying my shoces."
The homeroom teacher practically deted when she caught sight of Lilly.
The tattletale''s eyes widened in disbelief as their jaw fell.
Lilly looked at the tattletale withrge eyes before blinking at them.
My, my. What''s this familiar feeling, hm? She felt as though she had traveled back in time, specifically
to when she and Master were catching ghosts for a living.
Didn''t the thing making itselffortable on the teacher''s pet head look like a tattletale ghost?
Regardless, Lilly wasn''t in a rush to achieve power and fight for her freedom. So, she decided to let the
ghost roam around for a little longer.
The homeroom teacher failed to catch anyters. As a result, the anger she wanted to vent failed
to find any release. Still, she also felt her mood improve as there wouldn''t be any points being
deducted from her ss.
Nevertheless, she didn''t hesitate to turn her target to the entire ss, saying sternly, "What''s with all
the noise andmotion?" Before anyone could reply, she made them start their lessons with some
reading. When they didn''t meet her standards, she yelled, "What''s with yourckadaisical attitude? I
want some clear pronunciations, not some vague grunting noises!"
Lilly had jumped straight from primary school to middle school. So, this was her first time experiencing
such a tense atmosphere in ss.
However, she couldn''t help but find the whole thing nostalgic as she immersed herself in the role of
bing a student.
She took out her textbook and obediently read the passages before her.
Once they were done with their morning reading, the teacher''s pop quiz test papers were distributed.
"Last year, our ss was at the bottom of the grade! This year we have to catch up to the other
sses! You''ve all handed in your winter vacation homework, yes? Let''s see if you were really studying
during the holidays or just scrolling through TikTok."
There was an immediate groan in the ss.
Lilly was suddenly singled out. "That goes doubly for you, Lilly Crawford! You''ve been absent for two
years! Did you copy the answers for your winter vacation homework?"
The ss teacher got angry just thinking about Lilly''s winter vacation homework.
Sure, her handwriting was indeed very beautiful.
Unfortunately, the entire homework paper was very neat. There wasn''t even a hint of her fumbling
through the questions. There were no extra doodles or calctions. In fact, every question was filled
with answers that could be found right from the answer sheet.
Lilly said, "Miss, I didn''t copy. I did it myself."This content belongs to N?/velDra/ma.Org .
The teacher frowned before saying begrudgingly, "You''d better have."
It didn''t matter if she did. A test would reveal the truth of this particr problem student''s skills.
If this student had copied the answers and did so tantly, she would have reprimanded this student
regardless of the girl''s strong family background!
If she''s nothing but a copycat, she''ll face my wrath! I''ll tell her in no uncertain terms that she''ll have to
redo her work. Of course, I''ll give her a stern talking to. Maybe prodding herck of ambition would
help? I don''t care if she''s some rich kid. She will do the work in my ss, or else!
Lilly scratched her cheek as she tilted her head in bewilderment.
Suddenly, she recalled what Hannah had mentioned, ''Lilly, when you do your homework, you should at
least take the time to circle some of the key parts of the question if you''re gonna copy the answer
sheet. You got that?''
Lilly stared at the clearly fuming teacher before her.
She didn''t understand why she had to do something like that. Considering her situation now, she could
understand why Hannah had bothered to give her that particr advice!
