    Tears silently slid down faces as sobs, cries, and shouts resounded without a break like the tempestuous tides.


    The great sage—who was always dignified and wise—had his brows tightly knitted,pletely helpless. He knew that it was useless to say anything right now.


    They were already a group of people without any hope.


    Link looked at the chaotic square and the despairing crowd. There seemed to be an indistinct stir in his heart as a strong stinging sensation suddenly rose in his mind!


    Link reached out to hold his head, his face pale.


    The wind that came blowing already carried the strong scent of fresh blood. Yells and footsteps sounded,ing closer and closer.


    The inner city’s defense line was hanging by a thread; the Holy City was on the brink of falling.


    Arge number of people—who had broken down in the square—burst out crying and fell to the ground.


    The great sage and Lanzhi Sage charged into the sky, and a vast aura spread from them.


    They could no longer care to console the crowd’s emotions. They rushed to the defense line with a few Mages.


    Link squeezed out of the chaotic crowd with Aisha in tow, wanting to head to the defense line as well. However, the evil beings’ speed of attack had far exceeded everyone’s imagination.


    Buildings abruptly copsed; the evil beings had already torn past the defense lines and surged into the Holy City.


    Fighters and Mages were forced to fall back and retreat in defeat continuously. Fresh blood spread on the streets endlessly.


    Link had just walked out of the square when he had smelled the strong metallic and fishy scent.


    The evil beings’ army was at the end of the road’ there were up to 100 of them.


    These evil beings that brought cmity all looked extremely strange and wicked.
