Chapter 400
George became even unhappier, “You trust Mr. Hills so much, do you like him?”
George thought angrily, “I’m so kind to Keeley, but Keeley thinks of running away from me every day,
while Lumma didn’t know that she was Adam’s wife, yet she trusted Adam so much.”
Comparisons were odious.
Lumma answered simply, “Adam is my boss, if I don’t trust him, and who to believe.”
George, “This is a cop–out answer.”
Lumma admitted frankly, “I like him! Adam is such an excellent person, but I like him just because he is
my boss.”
“Are you sure?” George hoped that what Lumma said was true. Callum and Jeff had a happy marriage,
and he was left alone if Adam also has a marriage without twists and turns, which was very
ufortable to think about for George.
No matter what, George tried to make Adam unlucky as him.
Lumma red at George, “I won’t be someone else’s mistress like you.”
George was hurt by this sentence, but he didn’t care, “Since you have no affection for Adam, why not
follow me? I can give you whatever you want, so you don’t have to run around with Adam to earn a little
money, and you can go home for Christmas with your family.”
Lumma put down her chopsticks, “I won’t eat.”
George, “Why?”
Lumma, “Your words spoil my appetite.”
George said with a smile, “Which one? If you say it clearly, I will change professions?”
Lumma raised her hand to check the time, “You invited me to dinner but kept talking non–stop. Just tell
me what you want to do, don’t beat around the bush. Besides, the flight I bought is about to leave, and
you shouldpensate me for the ticket change fee if I can’t make it to the airport now.”

“Am I not clear enough? I think you are beautiful, so I want to pursue you! As long as you be my
woman. George took out a card, “There are one million dors in the card, and if you agree, the money
will be yours, enough to change several flights.”
“Who wants your money?” Lumma gave the bank card a once–over, got up and left, and then she was
blocked by George’s bodyguards when she reached the door.
As Lumma turned around, George smiled and lit another cigarette, “Ms. Louis, we haven’t finished our
meal yet.”
It meant that he won’t let her go until the meal was over.
Lumma gritted her teeth angrily, “Mr. Hills is waiting for me to go back to work. If I don’t arrive, he will
definitely look for me. I don’t think you want to spoil your friendship because of an unimportant
assistant.”
George chuckled, “Are you so sure that Adam will turn against me because of you?”
Lumma, “Of course I’m sure.”
George, “You’re a small potato, and it’s the same without you. Why are you so sure that Adam will do it
for you?”
Lumma didn’t believe it before, but after working with Adam for so long, who always said that he was
her backer, Lumma was sure that Adam would not allow anyone to bully her.
She smiled and said, “I am Mr. Hills‘ assistant, and he will protect me as long as I work in Hills Group. If
you don’t believe me, I can call him in front of you…”
