“Goodbye!” Lumma watched the car drive away. Even if the car was out of her sight, she didn’t turn her
gaze.
Lumma knew full well that Maria chose to go to Harrison with Catherine because she didn’t want to
cause trouble for her and affect her work. Maria had no intention to spend Lucas’ money.
Not far away, there was a business car parked in a corner. Adam was sitting in the car.
Seeing Lumma’s sad appearance, he lit a cigarette but didn’t smoke it. He put off the cigarette, got out
of the car, and walked toward her. “Lumma.”
Lumma was taken aback when she heard someone calling her name behind her. Seeing Adam, she
was a little puzzled. But she smiled politely at once and asked, “Mr. Hills, why are you here? Are you
going to see a doctor?”
Adam said, “I was passing right by here. How about you?”
Adam bumped into her twice in one day. It was too coincidental. Lumma couldn’t
believe it.
Lumma thought, “Does he have any purpose for her?”
It was not to say that Lumma was narcissistic but because Adam’s behavior was too suspicious. She
smiled and said, “Oh, I’m passing by too. I’m about to go home. Goodbye, Mr. Hills.”
After Lumma finished speaking, she turned around and was about to leave, but Adam stopped her.
“Ihaven’t had dinner yet. Would you like to have dinner with me?”
“What? Adam invited me to have dinner with him! He is so weird today.” With this in mind, Lumma
smiled and said apologetically, “Sorry, I have an appointment with my
friends.”
“Worm, why are you standing here? It’s cold outside!” When Ruby and Harry arrived at the hospital,
they saw Lumma standing on the side of the road and chatting with a man. The man’s back was toward

Ruby and Harry came at the right time. Lumma hurriedly walked to them and said, “I

Lamma realized that her words were ambiguous. She quickly exined, “Catherine took my Grandma
to Harrison to recuperate.”
Ruby said, “Why did Catherine take Maria to Harrison? You and Lucas are divorced. Why are they still
so kind to you?”
Lumma shrugged and said helplessly, “We are not divorced yet.”
Ruby asked in confusion, “Why?”
Lumma said, “He changed his mind.”
Ruby was angry. “That jerk wanted a divorce when you were most helpless, but he suddenly changed
his mind and even took Maria to Harrison to recuperate. He must have other intentions.”
Harry nodded and echoed, “Ruby is right. That jerk must have other intentions.”
Adam was the man who had been scolded as a jerk by Ruby and Harry just now. His face darkened.
