Lumma didn’t know that Adam Hills was Lucas, her husband whom she had only met once on the day
they registered their marriage.
In the year Lucas was born, there was turmoil within the Hills family. To ensure the safety of the only
heir, the Hills family gave him two identities.
His public name was Adam, and his private name, which only the Hills family knew, was Lucas
Bergman.
Adam noticed the Lumma’s unconcealed gaze on him, and his eyebrows furrowed slightly.
Aside from Adam’s identity as the president of Hills Group, his striking face alone has made countless
women fall head over heels for him, which he finds rather repulsive.
Seeing this, Jane nudged Lumma gently and asked, “What are you waiting for?”
Lumma came back to her senses, calmed down, and said, “Mr. Hills, nice to meet you. My name is
Lumma. I’ve been transferred to the headquarters of the Hills Group for less than a year.”
Lumma’s simple self-introduction was firm and confident, performing better than the other two earlier.
“Lumma?” Adam repeated her name silently, feeling a sense of familiarity.
Adam nced at Lumma again, who had already shifted her gaze away, which made him feel pleased
a little. Adam said, “She will be my secretary.”
Jane nodded and led the three of them out of the office. “Lumma, go move your things to the
assistant’s office.”
“Okay.” Lumma returned to her workstation to pack her belongings.
The sry of working for the president was at least doubled. The three of them were winners after a lot
ofpetitions, and they all wanted to get this opportunity.
In the end, this opportunitynded on the head of the inexperienced Lumma. The other two were

But Luna realized that Lumma’s abilities were good enough to take this job. And it was not right to deny
her abilities only based on her inexperience and age.
Luna smiled and gave Lumma a hug. “Lumma, congrattions!”
“Thank you!” Lumma replied.
John was not so generous. He said sarcastically, “Luna, you should learn more in the future. It’s not
that you can get promoted just because you’re capable at work. It also depends on your ability to
seduce people.”
He didn’t name anyone, so anyone who answered was obviously guilty, so John thought Lumma
couldn’t do anything to him.
Lumma looked at him coldly and said, “John, is Mr. Hills someone you can nder at will?”
John understood the deep meaning of Lumma’s words, and his face suddenly turned pale with fear.
Luna added, “John, it’s really immoral of you to nder a girl just because she’s better than you.”
“Luna, I have to leave first.” Lumma gave Luna a grateful look and left with the box in her arms.
When Lumma arrived at the office, Jane stared at her for a while and said, “Mr. Hills chose you today,
but whether you can keep your job depends on your ability.”
As Jane spoke, she lowered her voice slightly as if she was warning Lumma. “Remember, Mr. Hills
hates his subordinates who have designs on him. Don’t ruin your own future.”
Adam never showed up in front of the media. The public didn’t know what he looked like, but he had
been on the list of the most desired men in Red Pine City for many years.
Lumma didn’t have any improper thoughts about Adam, but others might not believe her. It would be
better for her to perform well at work in the future than exin anything “Thank you for the reminder,
Ms. Shelton. I will keep it in mind.” Lumma replied.
Jane softened her gaze, feeling good about Lumma’s response. “I’m handing the job over to you now.”
There were many people in Hills Group’s secretary department, but only two people, Jane and Leonard
Davies, worked as Adam’s special assistants. They have different duties.
Jane was more like a personal assistant, responsible not only for work but also for the president’s daily
life.
Knowing the president’s personal preferences, habits, taboos, etc., were all mandatory courses for the
president’s Office secretaries, which Lumma had already memorized.
Jane and Lumma had spent the whole morning handing over their work. And in the afternoon, Lumma
had to face the president alone.
After the lunch break, Lumma prepared a cup of iced coffee and knocked on the door of the president’s
office. A deep and pleasant voice was heard from inside, “Come in.”
Lumma pushed the door open and entered. Adam was sitting at his desk, reading some documents.
Lumma ced the coffee thirty centimeters to his left and said, “Mr. Hills, the meeting with Reid Group
is scheduled for 2:10 pm, which is in ten minutes.”
Adam did not lift his head but urately picked up the coffee and took a sip, “Okay.”
Ten minutester, Leonard and Lummá attended the meeting with Adam.
During the meeting, Leonard was in charge of recording the contents of the meeting while Lumma
prepared the materials that the president needed.
Adam spoke little and mostly listened to his subordinates and the other party. asionally, he would
give some opinion which always urately captured the key points.
When he raised his hand or gave a nce, Lumma knew what he wanted and handed him the
necessary material.
The tacit understanding between the two was so great that Leonard couldn’t believe it.

More than three hourster, the meeting was sessfully over. Lumma and Leonard followed Adam
back to the office.
Just as they were about to report on their work, Adam’s private phone rang.
When Adam picked up the phone, he heard Catherine’s weak voice. “Adam, you’re back. I was hoping
you could hurry up and take my granddaughter-inw home. You can’t let her live outside alone. If you
don’t bring her home, I’ll stay at Harrison Manor and won’t go back.”
Adam pushed up the silver-rimmed sses on his nose bridge and replied, “Even if you don’t remind
me, I will pick her up today.”
When Catherine heard this, she was so excited that she forgot that she was pretending to be sick. She
instantly raised her voice and said, “I’ll send you her address. You pick her up personally after work!”
Adam agreed and hung up the phone to listen to Lumma and Leonard’s report.
After listening, Adam did not ask any work-rted questions but instead asked, “What should I prepare
to see a girl?”
Leonard had werked for Adam for many years, so he usually spoke much more casually, “That
depends on what rtionship you have with that girl”
Adam smiled, “My wife.”
Last year, there was something wrong with the Nocalo branch of the Hills Group when they registered
their marriage. On that day, Adam and the girlpleted the marriage registration and dew straight to
the airport in the Nocalo. He had been busy for a year.
During this period, Lamma had never contacted him, and Adam was so busy that he didn’t have time to
contact Lumma. If it weren’t for Catherine’s constant nagging, he would have forgotten that he was
married.
Now that Adam was back, he was ready to live a good life with Lumma and make up for what he owed
her this year.
Leonard knew that his boss had registered for marriage with a woman a year ago, but he had not
contacted her since then. Leonard thought he was only doing it to please his grandmother.
Now it seemed that it was not the case.
Suddenly, Leonard remembered something and said, “Mr. Hills, did you spend forty million in Preivlille
to buy a ne called Diamond Star specifically to give to your wife?”
Adam gave him a look of impatient and said, “I’m asking you now.”
As a single man who had never been in love, Leonard could note up with a good answer. “You
already have a ne worth forty million. There’s no need to prepare anything else.”
Adam looked at Leonard coldly. Leonard was so scared that he shivered. He pushed Lumma forward
and said, “Mr. Hills, if you want to know what a young girl likes, you should ask a young girl.”
