    She turned to Cooper and looked at him with an unnatural expression.


    “Bruce called me yesterday and told me you passed out. He left after I showed up,” said Cooper who guessed what Genevieve was thinking.

    asked if Bruce had met her. Bruce replied and imed he ran into her when he went to sign the contract.


    As the conversation progressed, they began making a bet. The terms were as follows. If Bruce could get Genevieve to fall for him, his friend


    would give him a house.


    Bruce sounded sleazy and nonchnt. “Pfft, a woman like her is ridiculously easy to con. If I win this bet, I want the house in Regality


    Gardens. Deal?”


    “Deal!”


    “I think she lives there, too. Okay, give me your house in advance so I can get closer to her and work my magic.”
