Chapter 73
After a bout of venting, Alicia felt much better. This was the first time in three years where she did
not have to keep her pain in her heart.
She was still holding the hamburger that Victoria bought for her when she got into the car. She
looked at it and smiled. A friend was much more reliable than any man.
She understood the basis of Victoria''s words, but she was suddenly enlightened again when
Victoria ensured her. She pondered the whole way back.
Perhaps, Victoria was right. In the past three years, Alicia was so busy that she did not have time to
think about her rtionship every day. Life was not that bad! If she did not meet him anymore, she
would be the same as she was right now! The truth would be known eventually anyway!
She should have a change of goals. But as for Frederick, she still believed that he was not her Mr.
Right.
After parking the car, the first thing that Alicia did was to change Frederick''s name on her cell phone
from "Hubby" to "Uncle". Suddenly, she felt that this was a more appropriate title. If anyone who saw
Frederick called her in the future, she did not even have to exin it to others!
When she returned to the room, she saw Frederick standing in front of the French window with a
ss of red wine in his hand.
"Hubby—"Alicia ran over.
Just as she was about to reach out to hug him, she saw that he was already wearing pajamas.
Alicia giggled and withdrew her hands. "You are back so early!"
She was almost going to be scolded again!

snorted and said, "Where did you mess around this time?"
Alicia went to her wardrobe and took her pajamas.
"Where did I go? I was having a burger with my friend! Is there anyone more attractive than my

when I''m still so dirty!"
She pouted her lips cutely and then ran into the bathroom. Only then did she feel relieved of the
weight on her shoulders.

than Jeremy at all! Unfortunately, he had a bad temper!
After taking a shower, Alicia picked up the pajamas and realized that what she had brought in was
the red nightdress she bought. The pair of butterflies on the chest of the pajamas was an eyesore.
"Why did I take this one?" she wondered. Didn''t she put it aside already?
After thinking for a while, she looked at her body which was wrapped in a towel. The towel was too
short, thus, Alicia ended up changing into the nightdress. She habitually ced her hair in front of
her to cover the areas where she did not want to gather attention.
As soon as she got into bed, she quickly snuggled into Frederick''s arms and hugged him. She did
not want him to see her dressed like this.
"Hubby, I''ve washed. I smell good now!"
What she actually meant was that she wanted to rest, and she did not want to be pushed away!
Frederick''s slender fingers went through her hair, but he said something else, "Are you inviting me?"
Huh?
Alicia raised her head, and a passionate kissnded on her lips. "What a beauty!"
Truth be told, she was exhausted. When she wore this nightdress, she did not want to get intimate
with him. However, Frederick was already in the mood before she could speak.
"Hubby?" She wondered if he would let her have a rest for a night.
Their lips were attached, and Alicia gently pushed him away. However, Frederick did not understand
her thoughts. He only felt that she was extremely charming in the red nightdress. She was so
beautiful that his heart was racing!
"This nightdress suits you very well!"
With such an alluring sight, Frederick could not wait anymore. In the blink of an eye, a fierce storm
had already broken out. Alicia did not know that every time she wore this dress, she looked prettier
than anything else. It made him impulsive. He was heated up all night, and he could not forget
about her at all!
One day, when he knew about the profound meaning of it, it would have unimaginable
consequences!

In the next few days, no one disturbed Alicia. In addition, she was at peace with Frederick. Hence,

dashed in as she was running out of time. Naturally, she did not notice the acquaintances in the hall.
It was only when she met the customers did she realize that Mr. Gavin was having a business talk
with Jeremy. When the two of them saw each other, they were both shocked.
Alicia was fluent in Russian and tranted for them professionally. From the conversation, she
understood that there was a batch of equipment that needed to be exported to Russia. It was a
customized order. Mr. Gavin was not fluent in English, thus, it was troublesome when it came to the
technical specifications. Therefore, he needed an interpreter on the spot for easier

Jeremy fixed his eyes on her as he nodded. "Sure!"
She did not know how to y Polo, but she was still invited to watch the game. It was difficult for her
to refuse. Hence, she could only go along. When Alicia saw the ''friends'' that Mr. Gavin mentioned,
she almost fainted on the spot.
There were two foreign men. Frederick and Carson were there too!
