    "How did your father get sick, Stacy?" Elisa asked lightly.


    Stacy''s expression tightened.


    Her eyes filled with hate and resentment.

    he shouted in her face, "I''m calling the police! Don''t even think of leaving!"


    "Let go." Elisa threatened. Her eyes warned him to release her, or she would cripple him for life.


    A crowd gathered around them.
