After O finished speaking, everyone''s faces turned grim.
She mentioned she could provide the miracle cure, but with conditions, needing Flora''s help. What could Flora possibly do?
Mr. Atticus''s gaze was sharp as he looked at O, knowing she had ulterior motives.
"I''ve crossed paths with Shawn before. He''s incredibly talented. It would be a tragedy if he lost the use of his hands. I want to help him."
O sighed, feigning concern for Shawn: "But as Mr. Atticus mentioned, the miracle curees with conditions..."
"Enough." Mr. Atticus, clearly irritated, cut her off: "What exactly do you want?"
"First, Flora has to publicly apologize to the medicalmunity and admit to persecuting Susan, their member. Second, the medicalmunity wants Jules and Séraphine." O finished and winked at Flora, "You know what I''m talking about, Flora."
Mr. Atticus and the others were baffled. Why would Flora need to apologize to the medicalmunity? And how were Susan, Jules, and Séraphine involved?
Only Flora understood.
A slight smile curved her lips.
Mr. Atticus was ying his cards well.
Demanding so much for just one miracle cure?
Just as she was about to respond, her phone pinged.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDra/ma.O(r)g!
It was a message from Crimson.
Flora nced at it casually, but her eyes sharpened as she read.
Connor, standing nearby, also peeked at her screen.
A slight smile appeared on his face.
O continued: "Flora, Mr. Atticus''s conditions aren''t too harsh. For you, it''s just a matter of speaking up And from what I''ve heard, Shawn ended up like this because of you..."
She let her words hang, but everyone understood the implication.
Shawn was in this mess because of Flora; she had to save him.
Dr. Ray, though still a bit confused, saw from Flora''s expression that O''s demands were outrageous.
"Miss Flora, I''m Shawn''s mentor.
Whatever conditions Mr. Atticus has, he can discuss them with me. No need to burden a youngdy," Dr. Ray stepped forward. "Where is Mr. Atticus? I can speak to him directly."
Miguel quickly added, "I''m Shawn''s father. Whatever conditions you have, I can meet them!"
O shook her head apologetically: "It''s not that I don''t want to help, but Mr. Atticus insists on dealing only with Flora. He isn''t interested in anyone else."
"Flora, we have a ne to catch
soon. You don''t have much time in
three minutes, I need your answer. Do you really want to see the brother who saved you unable to hold a scalpel ever again?"
O went on, but Flora ignored her, focused on her phone, typing away.
Alyssa, clutching O''s hand, was in tears: "Youngdy, please? Just give us the miracle cure. I''ll do anything you ask, even if it costs my life!"
She was ready to do anything to save her son.
Her son meant the world to her.
"Auntie, begging me won''t help. I''ve made it clear-if Flora agrees to the conditions, I''ll provide the miracle cure immediately."
Alyssa''s face turned pale. Ignoring Miguel''s attempts to stop her, she approached Flora and bowed deeply: "Ms. Flora... please... could you agree to their demands?"
