Being a med student was already tough enough, and now Flora had to juggle an extrapetition in theputer science department. She''d probably have to take some time off, miss a few more sses. How was she supposed to keep up with her studies then?
Even a straight-A student couldn''t just skip studying and magically know everything.
Mr. Abbott noticed the frustration in her voice and chuckled awkwardly, motioning for Flora to hurry inside.
The next day, Ivan swung by to pick up Flora for theputer science department.
They had barely stepped into the ssroom when Mr. Jurado walked in right after them, carrying the graded papers from the exam they took yesterday.
"Yesterday''s papers have been graded. The highest score goes to Brianna, with 89 points," Mr. Jurado announced with a satisfied smile. "Brianna, you''ve made significant progress. Keep it up." Brianna, already having a good idea of her score, calmly went up to get her paper but not without throwing a smug nce Flora''s way.
89 points. Not her best, but still a score she was sure Flora could never reach in a million years!
She remembered Flora struggling with even the simplest questions, taking forever to finish them.
Mr. Jurado continued, "Second ce, Ivan, with 88 points."
Ivan went up to collect his paper.
Soon, everyone had their papers-except Flora.
"This exam was tough. Scoring above 85 is considered a pass. Let''s go over the questions most of you got wrong," Mr. Jurado said, starting the lesson as if he hadpletely forgotten about Flora''s paper. Brianna couldn''t hold back. "Mr. Jurado, Flora hasn''t received her paper yet."
She wasn''t being helpful; she just wanted to see Flora''s score so she could mock her.
Hearing this, Mr. Jurado nced at Flora, his expressionplicated. "Flora''s paper is a bit special. I''ll talk to her about it privatelyter. Let''s continue with the lesson."
What did "special" mean?
Did Flora do so poorly that Mr. Jurado, trying to spare her dignity, didn''t want to say her score out loud?
Brianna frowned, thinking about how badly one had to do for that kind of reaction. She felt a bit let down, having considered Flora a rival, only to find out she wasn''t worth the effort.
Ivan nced at Flora. It was partly his fault; he had been so impressed by her practical skills that he invited her to the team, forgetting she wasn''t from theputer science department and mightck the theoretical knowledge.
But really, with such strong practical skills, her theory couldn''t be that bad, could it?
After the lesson, Mr. Jurado called Flora outside. "Flora, can you step out with me for a moment?"
Flora stood up and followed Mr. Jurado out.Content is property ? N?velDrama.Org.
As soon as they left, the ssroom buzzed with excited whispers.
"Wow, is Flora''s score really that bad? So bad that Mr. Jurado can''t even say it?"
"Oh no, is Mr. Jurado thinking of kicking her out because of her poor performance?"
Ivan felt a headacheing on. If Flora really had done that poorly, Mr. Jurado might actually send her packing...
Out in the hallway, Mr. Jurado looked at Flora, his emotions all over the ce.
This girl, not even aputer science student and never having officially attended aputer science ss, had managed to score full marks on an exam that was way beyond the sybus and insanely tough...
Outshining his top students like Brianna and Ivan...
He sighed inwardly before speaking. "Flora, I owe you an apology. I didn''t announce your score because it was... exceptionally high. I didn''t want to demoralize the others, so I made the decision to keep it private."
