Seeing that the youth was mesmerized, Nailisi was pretty surprised. It’s not that she did not have confidence. In name, she was Saleen’s maidservant, and in reality, Lex’s swordmasters never dared look her in the eye. Nailisi’s appearance was a replica of the Goddess of Myers, just that she did not look as cordial.
This youth was pretty powerful, Nailisi felt that he could rival J. If it was not for the injuries sustained after going through the spatial passageway, this youth would not be any weaker than that giant snake.
J was a lustful person, but after bing a Silver Grand Swordmaster, his perception to danger was very much heightened. Each time Nailisi approached him, he would get very fidgety. Sometimes, he would even avoid Nailisi subconsciously.
A demon was perpetually dangerous, because no one could control their thoughts. On ount of Saleen, Nailisi would not try to harm J, but in the event that Saleen would receive more benefits if it meant that J be sacrificed, a demon would not be sentimental at all.
J’s crisis awareness was formed naturally after his powers had reached a certain degree. This youth seemed more qualified than J, yet he had no danger awareness.
Nailisi held back the urge to kill this youth out of convenience. She turned around once more, securing her dagger around her waist. When that giant snake got stabbed by the Dragon’s Tooth Dagger, half of its body got frozen in that instant. Nailisi then dug her fingers into the snake’s wound. With a pull, she ripped apart the snake’s skin, and began rolling it up.
The skull of the snake was still intact, Nailisi did not break its head to extract the magic nucleus. Instead, she made a cavity in its abdomen using her fingers. With a tug, she removed its internal organs. Observing this string of actions, the youth was bedazzled, and a look of shyness covered his face.
Nailisi’s actions seemed simple, but even J could not clean out a dozen yards long snake in just ten seconds in reality.
By now, the magic war chariots had edged forward, while the four demons were still busy killing the endless supply of ming fish. Nailisi stored the remains of the giant snake in her bangle, then she opened her mouth and asked the youth, “What is your name?”
There was a wide variety ofnguages on the subcontinent ne, probably about one-thousand differentnguages. Nailisi did not expect a human who just came out of a spatial passageway to understand her words.
Indeed, the youth looked utterly confused.
“Narnia, go.” When Lex saw such a scene from the chariot, she realized that only the erudite Narnia might have a chance of establishingmunication. The Myers maind had a record of thenguages spoken on the subcontinent ne, but it was highly fragmented. Most mages would not bother studying it. Since Narnia was an insane schr, she could absorb any knowledge swiftly. Among Lex’s mages, she was the one who understood the mostnguages and spells.
When Narnia heard what Lex said via the Sound Transmission Magic Array, she alighted from the other chariot and went to the youth.
When the youth saw Narnia approaching, he forced himself to stand, before bowing at Narnia. His short sword remained in his hand. After all, when any person went to a foreign ce, they would definitely be vignt. The youth was already thoroughly embarrassed at the fact that he got distracted earlier on.
Narnia spoke to the youth using words she knew. “This is the Myers maind, whatnguages can you speak?”
“Myers! This is Myers?!” The youth bellowed, losing his just-regainedposure. He cheered jubntly, but he spoke in anguage which was highly simr to ancient Myersnguage; the predecessor of the magguage.
Narnia heaved a sigh of relief. This was the Karennguage, it was still used on the Myers maind. Many mages understood the Karennguage so that they could grasp the origin and rhythm of magguage. The pronunciation of the Karennguage was moreplex than the dragonnguage. Other than a mage, no one else was willing to learn it. It was thus quite weird that this youth could speak in thisnguage because he was not even a mage.
Nailisi could not understand the Karennguage, so she grew bored and walked towards Saleen’s chariot. The youth looked at her figure from behind, then he opened his mouth, but he recalled that Nailisi could not understand him, so he became depressed.
Very soon, Narnia began interacting with the youth, and led him to Lex’s war chariot. When the doors opened, the youth observed the scene within the chariot. The woman he was attracted to was sitting beside a man, and they were chatting intimately.
“Your Royal Highness.” The youth bowed. This greeting was ancient, it was possible that people from the Myers maind had spread such a practice to the subcontinent ne.
Now was actually not the time for chatting. In a chaotic space, there was not much difference between moving and staying still. After Lex queried the youth, she found out his origins.
This youth was a disciple from a family back in the subcontinent ne. In order to acquire the family badge, he had to undergo a trial. Hence, he entered a dangerous region on the subcontinent ne to hunt a young dragon snake. In the end, he hade into contact with an almost mature dragon snake identally. After a few rounds of battle, he could not kill it, and then he got sucked into some spatial turbulence by chance.
The youth was exhrated, because ording to the legends, experts were aplenty on the Myers maind, so he would be able to pick up countless of skills. This ce was also not as dangerous as the subcontinent ne as humans were the dominant species.
Lex was ashamed. After further probing, she realized that this youth was a rare expert on the subcontinent ne, hence she had peace of mind. If people like the youth were abundant on the subcontinent ne, then the youth would have been pretty disappointed. On the legendary Myers maind, humans had long declined.
“Master, this fellow cannot return to the subcontinent ne anymore, let him follow you.” Nailisi whispered into Saleen’s ear. Lex heard her words clearly and she knew that she could not vie with Saleen. This youth was abnormally respectful towards Lex, but he did not treat Nailisi in this manner. If Saleen wanted to persuade him, Nailisi only needed to say a few words to do the trick.
Nailisi was also very bored. Ever since J became a Silver Grand Swordmaster, he began treating Nailisi very formally. This youth was different, he was not afraid, it was way more intriguing.
Saleen felt that this idea was good, so he said, “Are you willing to follow me?”
The youth nced at Saleen, then he lowered his eyes and answered, “Mister Mage, I think your grade is not high enough for me to follow you.”
Saleenughed, “He is not entirely captivated by beauty, he is a pretty good kid.”
At this point in time, Lex said something. She told the youth, “Mage Saleen is my partner, he has his own city with tens of thousands of subordinates. Like me, he also has dozens of mages of such caliber. With such a power, what do you think is his standing in the subcontinent ne?”
The youth was awe-inspired, he quickly bowed at Saleen again, then said, “Great Mage, I was too impetuous.”
The subcontinent ne was simr to the Myers maind, it was ruled by whoever was mightier. It had absolutely nothing to do with lineage that Saleen could achieve such a status.
“What’s your full name?” Saleen did not mind at all. If this youth had agreed unabashedly, Saleen would then feel uneasy.
“Yaronsuksi Su Rhode.”
“Su, the passageway which you traveled through is unidirectional, I am afraid you cannot return to the subcontinent ne anymore. It is purely out of kindness that I offer to recruit you. Regarding your doubtfulness of my abilities, I cannot answer your question. I cannot defeat you without killing you. Once my skill is released, you will definitely die.” Saleen spoke solemnly, and Su never doubted his words.
If Saleen wanted to triumph over Su, there were only two methods. Firstly, he could use the Crystal Finger. Secondly, he could use the power of lightning from the n badge. No matter which skill was used, there was no holding back.
There was a dictum on the subcontinent ne; mages had no lies. The youth did not know whether the Myers maind had such a phrase or not, but the practice of magic was closely rted to a mage’s quality. A mage who loved to deceive would not amount to much, this logic was the same anywhere else. The world of magic was most real, there was no deceit to it.
Seeing that the youth agreed, Saleen did not take out a contract immediately. Instead, he cast the Chunlin Spell and let J protect the youth for the time being.
After the youth saw J, he believed Saleen’s words even more because while J was as powerful as him, J obeyed Saleen wholeheartedly. Saleen’s treatment spell was also mightier than the ones by the mages on the subcontinent ne. Back at the subcontinent ne, a treatment spell would only take effect after about half a day, yet Saleen’s spell was almost immediately effective.
Lex ordered a camp to be set up once again, because a spatial passageway would usually appear in wide and open areas. A camppound could prevent the formation of a spatial passageway in the vicinity.
The passageway where the ming fishes came out from had disappeared, and a new passageway had appeared just up ahead. This time around, an ugly creature with a pair of horns climbed out. The moment the four demons noticed the appearance of this fellow, they charged forward excitedly.
It was a demonic spirit. The four demons felt suffocated after they had been transformed into human females by Nailisi. When they saw this demonic spirit, they had at the same time found an avenue for them to vent their emotions.
After passing through the spatial passageway and arriving on the Myers maind, the demonic spirit was still dazed. When four human females with faint demonic scents suddenly appeared, he got very frightened.
The four demons did not give a hoot about the demonic spirit’s feelings. They put away their weapons, and began raining punches and kicks on the demonic spirit.
The four demons controlled their attacks. Even though the demonic spirit’s screams could be clearly heard hundreds of yards away, his life was not really in danger. Lex’s subordinates were watching in cold sweat. Those four women were too violent. If a woman behaved in this manner, a man would never think of marrying her.
To this demonic spirit, it was his unlucky day. To his life as a whole, he was fortunate. If he had run into these four demons in the demonic ne, he would be dead. The four demons would never let him die now. Since they were controlled by Nailisi, who could they bully if there was not a weaker being around?
The demonic spirit was walloped until he was on the verge of dying, then he was dragged towards Saleen’s war chariot.
The four demons nced at Nailisi ingratiatingly. They handed over the ming fishes’ magic nucleuses first, then they asked Saleen, “Master, we have captured this demonic spirit, what should we do with it?”
“Keep it for yourselves, but don’t beat him like that anymore. This demonic spirit is still useful.”
The four demons were overjoyed. It was fine not hitting him, because from now on, they had ackey. They would not have to carry out trivial tasks anymore.
“Demonic creatures?” The youth was curious as he stared at the demonic spirit. “Why is this demonic creature so weak?” On the subcontinent ne, the demonic race was a tough problem. The demonic nations were constantly warring with the human nations, such bloody conflicts were never ending. The youth’s family had lost a huge number of experts in the fights against the demonic race.
